Student answer (Band 6.5)
There is an on-going debate about whether young people should engage themselves in full time education until the age of 18. Some people argue that individuals should have the choice of leaving study and starting their work life. I agree with the viewpoint that compulsory education is paramount for young people as it gives them better development opportunities and increases future employment opportunities. However, educational institutions should introduce the vocational courses besides academic curriculum to facilitate the chance of working along with studies.
To begin with, full time education is paramount for younger citizens. It gives them the basic knowledge and practical skills. During adolescence, they need a proper knowledge and thinking abilities to explore their talent. It is the perfect time for their growth of learning skills and communication skills, which can help them in their job life later. Without gaining all the domain of education along with a successful academic career it would be tough for them to get a high demanding job in this competition. In recent years, job market is highly competitive as they are selecting their candidates based on both merit and skill. Another advantage of education includes that it can eradicate the disparity of social and economic classes.
On the other hand, some students cannot afford the educational fees and cost because of the limited income of their families. As a result, they want to start their work life as soon as possible to earn money for their own families. For instance, in Bangladesh, we can observe that there are huge numbers of students who have abandoned their studies as their families have limited earnings. They do not feel the necessity of education as they want to start their career at an early age. If they take full time education, they will not get the opportunity to do jobs. So, government should equip them funds to continue their full time education.
In conclusion, it is the fundamental right of children to get full time education without any work pressure. Educational institutions should include vocational trainings to help their students so that they can gain the knowledge of work skills along with education.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
Your position is clear: you support education until 18, while proposing vocational courses and government funding to address practical barriers. The response gives relevant reasons, including skills development, competition in the job market and the financial pressures faced by some families; the Bangladesh example helps make the latter point concrete. This covers the question, but the case for making education compulsory is developed more fully than the limits or conditions of that policy. For example, the claim that education can reduce social and economic disparity is not explained, and the vocational-course proposal is introduced but not explored. To strengthen the response, explain how funding and vocational options would work in practice and connect each example more directly to your position.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The essay has a clear overall structure: an introduction states your view, the body paragraphs present supporting points and a counterargument, and the conclusion returns to your position. Sequencing phrases such as “To begin with,” “On the other hand,” and “In conclusion” make the progression easy to follow. Some links between ideas are less smooth, however. The paragraph beginning “On the other hand” shifts from the opposing view to your proposed government response without fully explaining the connection, while “Another advantage” introduces social equality abruptly. Referencing is also occasionally unclear, as in “they want to start their work life,” where the referent could be specified. Develop transitions between claims and use linking expressions more flexibly to make the argument feel less formulaic.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
You use an adequate range of topic vocabulary, including “compulsory education,” “vocational courses,” “job market,” and “social and economic classes.” These choices help communicate the main ideas, and attempts at more formal phrasing are evident. However, some word combinations are unnatural or imprecise, such as “engage themselves in full time education,” “a proper knowledge,” and “high demanding job.” There is also repetition of “full time education,” “skills,” and “opportunities,” which limits flexibility. Aim for more natural collocations and precise wording, while retaining the clear meaning of your argument. For example, “participate in full-time education” and “highly competitive job market” would sound more idiomatic in this context.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 6.0
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, including clauses introduced by “as,” “which,” and “so that.” Most sentences communicate their meaning clearly, and the conditional structure in “If they take full time education, they will not get the opportunity to do jobs” shows an attempt to express a consequence. Some grammatical errors remain. For example, “they need a proper knowledge” has an article issue, and “there are huge numbers of students” is an awkward construction; “a large number of students” would be more controlled. In “government should equip them funds,” the verb pattern is incorrect. Review articles, agreement and verb-complement patterns, and check punctuation and hyphenation in phrases such as “full-time education.”
