Student answer (Band 5.0)

In contemporary society, education plays a major role in an individual's life. It is argued that full time education should be compulsory children while, others argued that all youngsters should continue their studies until the age 18 years as its debate topic in many places. I largely agree with the viewpoint, because if it is mandatory it provides you knowledge which assist youngsters in their life and workforce.

On the one hand, academic knowledge is a pivotal part of human life as well knowledge is key to success. Education should be mandatory as children get practical and academic education which contributes in their career as well as it is beneficial in tackling challenges in daily life. For instance, if anyone want to do something in field of education they need to take ful time education.

On the other hand, youngsters should continue their studies according to their need and demand. By this method they become busy and indulge in studies. This saves children time consumption of they already study that concept.

In conclusion, from my persepective edication should be mandatory as it is vital for human progress and the nation. It provides many benefits to the society children as it is important for people. Education plays a vital role in student life as it resolves many problems and pave way ti success.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0

You state a clear general position—“I largely agree”—and give relevant reasons, including education’s value for careers and daily challenges. However, the response addresses the question only partially: the reasons are asserted rather than explained, and the example about someone entering education does not show why schooling should be compulsory for every child until 18. The opposing paragraph is also unclear and does not develop a meaningful counterargument. The conclusion repeats the view without adding support. The response is 28 words below the required minimum, which limits the space available to develop your ideas. To strengthen the response, explain the benefits with specific examples and address why the age of 18 is appropriate.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs signposted by “On the one hand” and “On the other hand,” and a conclusion. This helps the reader identify the broad stages of your argument. However, there is little logical progression within the paragraphs, and some links between ideas are unclear. For example, “This saves children time consumption of they already study that concept” does not clearly connect to the preceding point. The conclusion repeats several claims from the introduction rather than drawing the argument together. Use each body paragraph to develop one reason in a clear sequence, and make linking phrases express the actual relationship between ideas rather than simply marking a new paragraph.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “academic knowledge,” “practical,” “career,” and “mandatory,” and attempt more formal expressions such as “pivotal” and “tackling challenges.” However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, which sometimes makes the meaning difficult to follow. Examples include “as its debate topic,” “time consumption,” and “benefits to the society children.” Spelling errors such as “edication,” “persepective,” and “ful” also reduce accuracy. Aim for precise, natural combinations of words and check spelling carefully. Repeating “education,” “important,” and “vital” can also be reduced by using suitable alternatives.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a conditional structure in “if it is mandatory it provides you knowledge.” However, complex sentences are often faulty, and errors occur frequently enough to make some sentences difficult to understand. For example, “It is argued that full time education should be compulsory children” is missing a necessary grammatical link, while “if anyone want” has a subject–verb agreement error. There are also problems with articles, prepositions, and sentence construction, as in “until the age 18 years.” Work on building accurate basic clauses first, then combine them using conjunctions. Proofread for agreement, articles, and punctuation, especially in longer sentences.
