Student answer (Band 5.0)

Now a days ,bmany think that it is important that our youth just complete their education untill they get 18 year old , while the other believe that young generation will get education as much as they want as the age limit is not matter with your studies .However , i completely believe the second view that age not link with your education because as we get older we are more smarter to think and concentarte beacuse we recognize our responsiblities with age .

On the one side of view that people think youngster should stop their education when they are 18 year old , beacuse they they don't want to spent much amount in the money there are mostly poor people they don't have extra amount to spend on the eduaction and they think if these money we spent on any other business we will get more benefits for example, in making profitable business that the reason they think we should pause after 18 year .

On the other hand , there are alot of poeple who think age not much important and im completely agree with that side as we get older we have alot of our families resposiblites and we continue our study to achieve our goald in the young age we have not much serious goals but witb time we realize that if we should work hard in return , we can get a good reward like a good job that will not only benefit our whole life but also beneficial for our entire family and status .By this i mean , eduaction after some time is more important beacuse we get a good out put if we work in a serious way

In conclusion, Although some people stop the study because of their finacial reasons after eighteen year of age but i believe with a proper support as well as concenration on studies after we get more olderas a result ,we can get alot of benefits from thus leads to happily and good life .

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

Your position is identifiable: you agree that education should not be restricted by age, and you give a reason linked to adults recognising their responsibilities and pursuing better employment. You also acknowledge the opposing view that families with limited finances may prefer young people to stop studying. However, the response only partially addresses the specific question of whether education should be compulsory until 18. The first body paragraph discusses stopping education at 18, rather than clearly explaining the case for making it mandatory up to that age, and your own argument focuses mainly on studying later in life. Develop the distinction between compulsory schooling and further education, and support your position with a more directly relevant example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two contrasting body paragraphs and a conclusion. Phrases such as “On the one side” and “On the other hand” help signal the change in viewpoint. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes difficult to follow: the first body paragraph moves from education costs to investing in a business without clearly connecting this to the age-18 policy. Linking expressions are also repetitive or awkward, and the conclusion’s “as a result” does not clearly connect the ideas that precede it. Make each paragraph develop one central point in a clear sequence, and use references such as “this financial concern” to show how each sentence relates to the previous one.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “education,” “responsibilities,” “benefit,” and “financial reasons,” and you attempt to express ideas about employment and family circumstances. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations make meaning less clear, as in “age not link with your education,” “extra amount,” and “good out put.” Spelling errors such as “responsiblites,” “eduaction,” and “concentarte” are also noticeable and can distract the reader. Aim for more precise phrases and check spelling carefully. For example, distinguish “compulsory education” from “continuing one’s studies,” since these express different ideas central to this question.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including clauses introduced by “because,” “while,” and “although.” This shows an effort to connect ideas, but complex sentences are often faulty, and frequent errors sometimes make the intended relationships difficult to understand. Examples include “the other believe,” “as we get older we are more smarter,” and “we continue our study to achieve our goals,” where agreement, comparison, and sentence construction need attention. Punctuation and spacing are also inconsistent, particularly around commas and full stops. Practise building accurate sentences with one main clause and a clearly attached supporting clause, then check subject–verb agreement, articles, plurals, and punctuation.
