Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

You address all three requested points: you identify the event as a company awareness event, praise the event space, seating, dining and ambience, and report problems with the washrooms and drinking-water area. The purpose—raising awareness about cancer and preventing substance use among younger people—is relevant, though the description is difficult to understand in places, so the event details are less fully conveyed than the praise and suggestions. Your complaint includes a practical consequence, the risk of someone falling, which helps explain why improvement matters. To make the letter more complete, clarify the event’s purpose and describe the improvements you expect, such as cleaning the washrooms and repairing the water station. The courteous opening and closing suit a formal letter.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 7.0

The letter follows a clear overall sequence: you introduce your reason for writing, describe the event and positive features, then move to areas for improvement and close politely. Paragraphing helps distinguish the praise from the complaint, and transitions such as “Moreover” and “However” make the change in focus easy to follow. Some connections within sentences are less controlled, particularly the long complaint about the water area, where several points are joined with semicolons and commas. The event-purpose details also move quickly from the company name to the awareness aim. For clearer progression, give each main point a complete sentence and use linking phrases to show how the event’s purpose, hotel experience and requested improvements relate.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use vocabulary relevant to a formal hotel letter, including “appreciation,” “seating arrangement,” “ambiance,” and “improvement,” and you communicate both praise and concerns. However, several spelling and word-choice errors make parts of the message less clear: “appriciation,” “specious” (apparently intended to mean spacious), “tobbacco,” and “eventully.” Some combinations are also unnatural, such as “make glory on event” and “risk to fall someone.” Aim for accurate, natural collocations and check spelling carefully. For example, you could say that the ambience “made the event memorable” and that the wet floor “posed a risk of someone slipping.” This would make your vocabulary more precise without requiring unnecessarily complex wording.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more extended sentence forms, and the reader can generally follow the main message. However, errors in verb forms, agreement, articles and sentence construction are frequent enough to make some sentences difficult to process. Examples include “they organize the event,” “This event formally to protect,” “the ambiance … make,” and “I looking forward.” The sentence about the water area also joins several clauses without clear grammatical boundaries. Practise forming complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, and check tense and agreement—for instance, “The event was organised to raise awareness” and “I look forward to seeing these areas improved.” More accurate control of these patterns would make your meaning consistently clear.
