Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
The letter addresses the event and identifies positive features, including the hotel’s arrangements, timely service, meals and drinks. It also attempts to suggest an improvement, so the main parts of the task are present. However, the event details are vague: the reader is not told what kind of event it was or when it took place. The praise is also broad, and the improvement request—“improvement of your area”—is difficult to interpret; it is unclear whether you mean the hotel’s surroundings or its facilities. To make the response more complete, give a specific event detail and explain exactly what should be improved and why.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
There is a recognisable letter structure, with an opening, discussion of the hotel, a suggestion and a closing. The ideas are generally relevant, and linking expressions such as “Furthermore” and “So” show an attempt to connect them. However, the progression is difficult to follow because praise and the improvement request run together in a long paragraph, and several transitions are awkward or repetitive. For example, “but, here i want to give you some advice about your area” does not clearly lead into the following explanation. Separate the event details, positive comments and suggestion into paragraphs, and use clear references and transitions so the reader can follow each point.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The response uses some vocabulary relevant to a hotel event, such as “arrangements,” “service,” “preparation” and “presentation.” However, the range is limited, and frequent spelling and word-choice errors sometimes make the meaning difficult to understand. Examples include “perspactives,” “decuration,” “requirments” and “reputation”; phrases such as “your area” and “enjoy in enternal part” are also unclear or unnatural. Aim for precise, conventional expressions rather than repeating general words such as “good.” Proofreading spelling and choosing natural collocations would make the praise and requested improvement much clearer.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The letter attempts to use both simple statements and longer sentences, including clauses introduced by “because” and “when.” However, the range is limited in practice because many longer sentences are not controlled, and frequent errors can make the message hard to follow. For example, “my company organise an event” has an incorrect verb form, while “This event organise very much good” lacks a clear grammatical structure. There are also problems with articles, agreement and sentence boundaries, as in “So is it a possible to improvement of your area.” Build accurate short sentences first, then combine ideas using correctly formed clauses and consistent punctuation.
