Student answer (Band 6.0)
Dear Sir,
I hope you are doing well. I am writing this letter to share feedback. I recently advised my company to organize an event at your hotel and I particularly liked the way your team has handle the event. I was impressed with the infrastructure, customer service and facilities of the hotel. The hotel is equipped with fire equipment to air conditioner which improved our experience. Furthermore, we were able to participate in several activities after our meeting. Among all services, I was impressed with Indoor swimming pool, jacuzzi and sauna.
I enquire to organize a birthday party at the end of the event , but staff said currently they are not doing any private events. I would suggest you to allow us to organize a personal function at your hotel. People would love to have engagement, birthday or anniversery at your hotel. It is very convenient because it located in the center of the city and connectivity to public transport is very good.
Please let me know when you start booking order for private events.
Thanks
Kind regards,
Vaibhav

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address the main requirements by describing the company event, identifying hotel features you appreciated, and proposing that the hotel accept private functions. The details about the meeting, activities, pool, jacuzzi and sauna make the positive feedback relevant. Your improvement suggestion is also clear: you would like the hotel to host birthdays and engagements. However, the event itself is not fully described, and the request to organise a birthday party is introduced without explaining whether this was part of the company event or a separate enquiry. Develop the event details and explain more specifically how accepting private bookings would improve the hotel’s service to guests.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The letter has a coherent overall arrangement: it opens with the purpose, gives positive comments, then moves to a suggestion and closes with a request. Paragraphing helps distinguish the praise from the proposed improvement, and connectors such as “Furthermore” and “Among all services” guide the reader. To make the progression more consistently clear, connect the birthday-party enquiry more explicitly to the event feedback; the shift from the company meeting to a private function currently feels abrupt. Some linking is also slightly mechanical, and the final request about “booking order” is not clearly tied to the earlier suggestion. A more direct closing that restates the requested change would strengthen cohesion.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
You use an adequate range of vocabulary for a formal feedback letter, including “infrastructure,” “customer service,” “facilities,” and “convenient.” These choices communicate your appreciation and suggestion clearly, and terms such as “private events” and “public transport” are relevant to the topic. There are some inaccurate or unnatural choices, however: “fire equipment to air conditioner” does not clearly describe the facilities, while “booking order” is not the natural phrase for accepting reservations. Spelling errors such as “anniversery” also reduce accuracy. Aim for more precise collocations and check spelling, especially in less familiar expressions.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You use a mix of simple and more developed sentence forms, including the reason clause in “It is very convenient because…” and the relative clause “which improved our experience.” Most of the message remains understandable, but some grammatical errors are noticeable. For example, “your team has handle” needs a past participle, and “I enquire to organize” does not use the appropriate verb form or pattern. There are also issues with articles and sentence construction in “I was impressed with Indoor swimming pool” and “because it located.” Review verb forms, article use, and complete clause structure. Greater accuracy in these areas would make the letter more polished without requiring more complex sentences.
