Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses all three bullet points: providing event details, mentioning positive aspects of the hotel, and suggesting improvements. However, the development of these ideas is limited. The event details are somewhat confusing, as the letter states you 'want to organise' an event, but the prompt asks you to write about an event you 'recently helped' organise. This inconsistency in tense and perspective makes the purpose of the letter unclear. While the requirements are met, the content lacks the professional tone and specific detail expected in a formal letter of this nature.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The letter lacks clear paragraphing, which is essential for a formal letter. The text is presented as a single block, making it difficult to follow the transition between the event details, the positive feedback, and the suggestions. There is a lack of cohesive devices; sentences are often linked by simple punctuation or run-on structures rather than logical connectors. While the overall message is understandable, the lack of structure and the absence of clear paragraph breaks significantly hinder the flow of the letter.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is basic and repetitive. Phrases like 'I want to organise' and 'good quality' are used, but there is little attempt to use more sophisticated or precise language suitable for a business context. There are several spelling errors, such as 'saminar' (seminar), 'dacorate' (decorate), and 'launch' (likely meaning lunch). These errors, combined with the limited range of vocabulary, restrict the ability to convey ideas with precision. To improve, you should focus on learning topic-specific vocabulary related to event management and hospitality.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The letter contains frequent grammatical errors that affect readability. There are issues with sentence boundaries, such as run-on sentences and missing capital letters at the start of sentences. Subject-verb agreement and article usage are inconsistent (e.g., 'the all details', 'in saminar area'). The tense usage is also problematic, as the prompt asks about a past event, but the writing shifts between future and present intentions. While simple sentences are generally understood, the lack of control over complex structures and consistent punctuation errors limits the score.
