Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.0
You have addressed all three bullet points of the task: providing details about the event, mentioning positive aspects of the hotel, and suggesting areas for improvement. The tone is appropriate for a formal letter to a manager. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. For example, while you mention the staff were 'kind-hearted', providing a specific instance of their helpfulness would have strengthened the response. Similarly, the suggestion for improvement is clear, but could be expanded by suggesting how the hotel might prevent such issues in the future. Overall, the task is fully addressed, but the depth of detail could be improved to reach a higher band.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.0
The letter is logically organized into clear paragraphs, each focusing on a specific part of the prompt. You use some cohesive devices such as 'Firstly', 'Apart from this', 'Moreover', and 'Therefore' to link your ideas. However, some of these transitions feel a bit mechanical or slightly misused, such as 'Last but not the least' (which should be 'Last but not least'). The referencing is generally clear, though the flow between sentences could be smoother. The paragraphing is appropriate, which helps the reader follow your argument easily.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.5
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using words like 'fascinating', 'stunning', and 'prompt'. However, there are several instances of awkward word choice and collocation errors, such as 'firms target' (should be 'firm's target'), 'new opened' (should be 'newly opened'), and 'unpleasant small' (should be 'unpleasant smell'). These errors do not impede communication, but they do indicate a need for more precise vocabulary usage. To improve, focus on learning common collocations and ensuring the correct form of words is used in context.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.5
You attempt a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, which is good. However, there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, including tense inconsistencies ('which you provide on last weekend' instead of 'which you provided last weekend'), article usage ('at your hotel' vs 'at the hotel'), and verb forms ('want to used' instead of 'wanted to use'). While these errors are noticeable and occur frequently, they rarely prevent the reader from understanding your message. To reach a higher band, you should focus on subject-verb agreement and consistent verb tense usage.
