Dear sir,

I hope you are doing well. I am writing thid letter to share my experience with your hotel i have involved in a event organiasation ata yor hotel. It was a new year party event which was held on 31st december.

I would like to appericiate your hotel facililities which they provide on the event. For example the catterning was very revishing . also the music system was very unique that how we caould enjoy our own favourite song without any interpution.

As all the arrengment were good enpugh but i would like to advise you to clear your entrance becuse it need more space when you have to welcome the people with some interusting decoration. In my opinion you have to reconstruct your main entrance so the guest dont have hav e to wait at road. It makes your beautiful hotel inconvient for the parking place which can reduce your attraction and the rewiew from from the custmor.

at the end i really want to thank you for your host and please have a thought on my opnion as well if it can help you make your hotel more convinient for people and more profitable for you as well.

Best regards.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.0

The letter addresses all three bullet points: providing event details, mentioning positive aspects, and suggesting improvements. The tone is generally appropriate for a formal letter, although some phrasing is slightly informal. The ideas are relevant, though the development of the suggestion regarding the entrance could be more precise. The purpose of the letter is clear from the beginning, and the reader is left with a good understanding of the writer's experience and recommendations. To reach a higher band, ensure that the suggestions are presented with more professional vocabulary and a clearer structure.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The letter is organized into logical paragraphs, each serving a distinct purpose. There is a clear progression of ideas from the introduction to the conclusion. However, the use of cohesive devices is somewhat mechanical and occasionally repetitive (e.g., 'also', 'as all the'). Some transitions between sentences feel abrupt, and the referencing is occasionally unclear. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring smoother transitions between the positive feedback and the constructive criticism would significantly enhance the flow of the text.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

The vocabulary is adequate for the task, but there are frequent spelling errors (e.g., 'thid', 'organiasation', 'appericiate', 'catterning', 'revishing', 'inconvient', 'rewiew', 'custmor'). These errors are noticeable and detract from the professional quality of the writing. While the student attempts to use some descriptive language, the word choice is often imprecise or non-standard. To improve, the student should focus on mastering the spelling of common business-related terms and expanding their range of collocations to avoid repetitive or awkward phrasing.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

The response contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'the hotel facililities which they provide'), incorrect verb forms ('i have involved'), and punctuation errors. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are frequent enough to be distracting. The student should focus on proofreading for basic errors such as article usage, verb tense consistency, and sentence construction to ensure greater accuracy in future writing tasks.
