Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The letter addresses all three bullet points: providing event details, mentioning positive aspects, and suggesting improvements. However, the development of these points is quite limited. For instance, the event details are vague, and the suggestions for improvement lack specific context or professional elaboration. The tone is generally appropriate for a formal letter, though the opening paragraph is somewhat repetitive and redundant. To improve, you should provide more specific details about the event (e.g., the nature of the meeting or the number of attendees) and offer more nuanced suggestions for improvement to better demonstrate your ability to communicate effectively in a professional context.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The letter is organised into clear paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. You use basic cohesive devices such as 'Firstly', 'Secondly', and 'Moreover' to signal the progression of ideas. However, the flow between sentences is sometimes mechanical, and the referencing is occasionally unclear, such as in the sentence 'there were suroounding clean and modern infrastructure'. The transition between the introduction and the body paragraphs could be smoother. To reach a higher band, focus on using a wider variety of linking words and ensuring that each sentence logically follows the previous one without relying on repetitive structures.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks the precision and range expected at higher levels. There are several spelling errors, such as 'graet' (great), 'suroounding' (surroundings), 'qualitiy' (quality), and 'intrup' (interrupted). Additionally, some word choices are awkward, such as 'difficulty part our park' and 'there were suroounding clean'. These errors occasionally impede the flow of reading. To improve, you should focus on learning common collocations related to business and event management and proofread your work carefully to eliminate basic spelling mistakes that detract from your professional tone.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The response contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text. Examples include 'my company organise' (should be 'organised'), 'there were suroounding clean' (should be 'the surroundings were clean'), and 'there no enough space' (should be 'there was not enough space'). These errors are noticeable and sometimes make the meaning difficult to grasp. While the message is generally understandable, the lack of control over basic verb tenses and sentence construction limits the score. Focus on subject-verb agreement and ensuring that every sentence has a clear, grammatically correct structure.
