Moreover, the service was too good that all the gets were happy and appreciate the event, but there were some problems that created inconvenience, firstly sitting arrangement was not that satisfied. I can understand that the event was full of crowd and staff did not expected that, but management need to keep prepare about these situation ahead. Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The letter covers all three bullet points: providing details about the event, mentioning positive aspects, and suggesting improvements. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the details about the event are vague, and the suggestions for improvement lack specific, actionable detail beyond mentioning the seating arrangement. The tone is generally appropriate for a formal letter, though the transition between praise and criticism is slightly abrupt. To reach a higher band, you should expand on your ideas with more descriptive language and provide clearer, more professional suggestions for the hotel manager to consider.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The letter is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is sometimes mechanical or inaccurate. For example, the phrase 'In the light above' is not a standard idiomatic transition for this context. Additionally, the flow between sentences is occasionally interrupted by grammatical errors, such as the comma splice in the opening paragraph. While there is a logical progression from the introduction to the body and conclusion, the connection between ideas could be smoother through a more varied and precise use of linking words.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks the precision and range expected at higher bands. You rely on basic descriptors like 'too good' and 'happy', which are repetitive and informal. There are also some errors in word choice, such as 'gets' instead of 'guests' and 'keep prepare' instead of 'be prepared'. While the meaning is generally clear, the lack of sophisticated or topic-specific vocabulary limits your score. To improve, try to incorporate more formal collocations related to event management and hospitality.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The letter contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally distract the reader. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('everyone like food'), article usage ('a event'), and tense consistency. Punctuation is also problematic, particularly the use of commas where full stops are required, leading to run-on sentences. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they occur frequently enough to prevent a higher score. Focusing on proofreading for basic subject-verb agreement and sentence boundaries will significantly improve your accuracy.
