You recently helped your company organise an event at a hotel. Write a letter to the hotel manager. In your letter:

– Provide details about the event
– Mention what you particularly liked about the hotel
– Suggest areas for improvement.

You do NOT need to write any addresses.

Begin your letter as follows:
Dear Sir / Madam,

Student answer (Band 7.5)

Dear Sir,

I am writing to appreciate the excellent service provided by your hotel staff when I was organizing my event in the hotel lounge. The event was for a political meeting conference consisting of 80 members, including the presentation and a dinner.

We were extremely impressed by the professionalism and welcoming behavior of your staff. The ambiance is quite spacious, well-organized and comfortable. The dinner table was decorated with attention to small details such as polished cutlery and flowers . Moreover, the staff responded quickly when we needed assistance.

However, there are a few area that needs improvement. Firstly, the wi-fi connection was unreliable, causing delays in the presentation. Another area of improvement is that the walls are not soundproof, as our meeting was interrupted by the noise made by a celebration happening in the hall next to the lounge.

I would be grateful if you could consider those minor details for improvement. Overall, it was a great experience and we would be more than happy to consider your hotel for more events in the future. Special thanks to your friendly staff.
