Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing to formaly request you that my company want to arranged a grand annual closing dinner at your hotel.

The main concern is although it is annual dinner of my company, 5000 people are invited over the country. I particularly liked your hotel due to customer services and hotel management and every year we arranged this event in your hotel.

Last year we are facing some problems like your food quality was poor and the shortage of tables and chairs. This has resulted in we are facing embaracement in front of our Seionr Heads and ecpecially CEO of our company .

It would be appreciated if you could improve the quality of food and arranged more chair and tables.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

You have addressed all three bullet points: providing details about the event, mentioning positive aspects of the hotel, and suggesting improvements. However, the content is slightly confused; you state you are writing to 'request' an event, but then mention you have held it there every year and are complaining about last year's experience. This inconsistency makes the purpose of the letter slightly unclear. To improve, ensure your narrative is logical and consistent throughout. The tone is generally appropriate for a formal letter, though the confusion regarding whether this is a new booking or a complaint about a past event hinders the clarity of your message.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The letter is organised into logical paragraphs, which helps the reader follow your points. However, the use of cohesive devices is somewhat mechanical and occasionally inaccurate. For example, 'The main concern is although it is annual dinner...' lacks a clear transition, and the connection between sentences is sometimes abrupt. While the overall progression is clear, the lack of sophisticated linking words and the occasional awkward phrasing (e.g., 'This has resulted in we are facing...') mean that the flow is not always smooth. Using a wider variety of linking phrases would help improve the cohesion of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

You have a sufficient range of vocabulary to convey your meaning, but there are several spelling errors and word-choice inaccuracies. Examples include 'formaly' (formally), 'Seionr' (Senior), 'ecpecially' (especially), and 'ressolved' (resolved). Additionally, phrases like 'my company want to arranged' show issues with verb forms and collocation. While you are able to communicate your requirements, the frequency of these errors suggests a need for more careful proofreading and a focus on standard spelling and verb-noun collocations to reach a higher band level.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

Your writing relies heavily on simple sentence structures, and there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede the flow of reading. Issues include subject-verb agreement ('my company want to arranged'), tense inconsistency ('we are facing' instead of 'we faced'), and awkward sentence construction ('request you that my company want to'). While the meaning is generally understandable, the lack of complex structures and the persistence of basic grammatical errors limit your score. To improve, focus on mastering verb tenses and ensuring that your sentence structures are grammatically sound.
