Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 150 words, which significantly impacts the development of the required bullet points. While you have touched upon all three parts of the prompt—providing event details, mentioning what you liked, and suggesting improvements—the ideas are underdeveloped. For instance, you mention the event hall is 'big enough' but do not elaborate on why it was suitable or what specifically you liked about the service or facilities. The suggestion for improvement is present but lacks sufficient detail to fully address the task. To improve, you must expand your points with more descriptive language and context to meet the length requirement.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The letter is logically organized with a clear opening and closing. You use basic cohesive devices such as 'Furthermore' and 'Moreover' to transition between ideas. However, the paragraphing is insufficient; the entire body of the letter is contained within a single paragraph, which makes the text feel dense. To improve, you should separate the event details, the positive feedback, and the suggestions into distinct paragraphs. Additionally, the flow between sentences is somewhat mechanical, and the lack of development makes the overall progression feel abrupt.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary used is functional but limited. You rely on basic terms like 'big enough' and 'do some changes'. There is little attempt to use more sophisticated or topic-specific vocabulary related to event management or hospitality. For example, instead of 'do some changes', you could use 'request specific adjustments'. There are also minor errors in word choice, such as 'setting place' and 'easy for understand', which slightly hinder the natural flow of the letter. Expanding your range of vocabulary to include more precise collocations would improve your score.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The response contains a mix of simple sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that affect clarity. Issues include tense inconsistencies ('is recently planned', 'is plan on'), missing articles ('on our organization 19 anniversary'), and awkward phrasing ('easy for understand guests where they are sit'). There is a lack of complex sentence structures, which limits your ability to demonstrate grammatical range. To improve, focus on subject-verb agreement, correct tense usage, and incorporating a variety of sentence types, such as using relative clauses or conditional structures.
