Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

You have addressed all three bullet points: providing details about the event, mentioning positive aspects, and suggesting improvements. However, the development of these points is somewhat limited. For example, the description of the event is brief, and the suggestions for improvement lack specific detail, such as what kind of variety you would have preferred for the dessert. To reach a higher band, ensure that your ideas are more fully extended and supported with specific examples or explanations. The tone is generally appropriate for a formal letter, though the opening and closing salutations could be more standard.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The letter is organized into logical paragraphs, which helps the reader follow your points. However, the use of cohesive devices is quite basic and sometimes repetitive. For instance, you use 'First of all' and 'However' to transition, but the internal flow between sentences within paragraphs is occasionally disjointed. Some sentences feel like a list of facts rather than a cohesive narrative. To improve, try using a wider variety of linking words and ensure that pronouns and referencing (e.g., 'the event', 'these arrangements') are used more effectively to connect ideas across sentences.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

Your vocabulary is adequate for the task, but it is somewhat limited and contains several spelling and collocation errors. Words like 'gust' (guests), 'deseart' (dessert), 'nedd' (need), and 'veriety' (variety) indicate spelling issues that occasionally distract the reader. Additionally, phrases like 'every food' are not natural collocations. While you successfully convey your meaning, you should focus on using more precise vocabulary and checking your spelling. Expanding your range to include more sophisticated descriptors for the hotel services would also help elevate your score.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

You demonstrate a mix of simple and some complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text. Issues include missing articles ('in last week', 'on street'), incorrect verb tenses ('Event took place', 'All our board... attend'), and subject-verb agreement errors ('some guest compain'). While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are frequent enough to be noticeable. To improve, focus on basic sentence construction, particularly the correct use of articles and consistent verb tenses. Proofreading for these common errors before finishing will significantly improve your accuracy.
