Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The letter covers all three bullet points: providing event details, mentioning positive aspects, and suggesting improvements. However, the development of these points is quite basic. For instance, the event details are vague, describing it only as 'medication about health'. The suggestions for improvement are also limited, focusing only on decoration without specific examples of how it could be better. While the tone is appropriate for a formal letter, the content lacks the depth required for a higher band score. To improve, you should provide more specific details about the event and offer more constructive, actionable suggestions for the hotel manager.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The letter is organised into clear paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. You use basic transition words like 'Firstly', 'Secondly', and 'Thirdly' to signal new points. However, the flow between sentences is sometimes mechanical, and there are issues with referencing and punctuation. For example, 'That thing I really like the most' is a clunky way to refer back to the previous sentence. Additionally, the use of full stops where commas or conjunctions would be more appropriate (e.g., 'Moreover. The hall...') disrupts the logical progression of your ideas. Improving your use of cohesive devices would make the writing feel more natural.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

Your vocabulary is adequate for the task but remains quite repetitive and simple. You frequently use 'discuss about' (which is grammatically incorrect) and 'really' as an intensifier. There are also several spelling errors, such as 'Firsltly' and 'hote'. While you successfully communicate your meaning, the range of vocabulary is limited, and there is little evidence of less common or more precise lexical items. To reach a higher band, try to avoid overusing basic words and focus on using more varied adjectives and nouns related to event management and hospitality.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The letter contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede the flow. Common issues include missing articles (e.g., 'about event'), incorrect verb forms (e.g., 'I recently organise'), and subject-verb agreement errors (e.g., 'Everybody like your food'). The sentence structure is often repetitive, relying on simple clauses. While the meaning is generally clear, the high frequency of errors in basic grammar and punctuation prevents a higher score. Focusing on subject-verb agreement and consistent verb tense usage would significantly improve your accuracy.
