Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 150 words, which significantly impacts the development of the ideas. While all three bullet points are addressed—providing event details, mentioning positive aspects, and suggesting improvements—the content is underdeveloped. The details regarding the event are vague, and the suggestions for improvement lack specific context or professional tone. To improve, you must expand on each point with more descriptive language and specific examples to ensure the letter is sufficiently detailed and meets the length requirement.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The letter lacks clear paragraphing, which is essential for a formal letter. The text is presented as a single block, making it difficult to follow the progression of ideas. There is a lack of cohesive devices to link sentences and ideas together; for example, the transition between the positive feedback and the suggestions for improvement is abrupt. To improve, you should use clear paragraph breaks for each section of the letter and incorporate linking words such as 'furthermore', 'consequently', or 'in addition' to improve the flow of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is quite basic and repetitive. Phrases like 'very nice' and 'all are good' are too informal and lack the precision expected in a professional letter. There are also issues with word choice, such as 'I will come yours hotel', which is grammatically incorrect and uses inappropriate phrasing. To reach a higher band, you should aim to use more sophisticated vocabulary related to hospitality and event management, such as 'impeccable service', 'state-of-the-art facilities', or 'recommendations for enhancement'.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, including issues with verb tense ('service provide' instead of 'service provided'), punctuation (missing commas and periods), and sentence structure. Many sentences are run-on or fragmented, which hinders readability. For instance, 'the event was attended was 80 delgates' is confusing and grammatically flawed. To improve, focus on basic sentence construction, ensuring every sentence has a clear subject and verb, and pay closer attention to punctuation and consistent verb tenses.
