Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
You have addressed all three bullet points: providing details about the event, mentioning what you liked, and suggesting improvements. However, the tone is inconsistent and informal for a formal letter to a hotel manager. For instance, addressing the manager as 'Hello Sahil' is inappropriate; 'Dear Manager' or 'Dear Sir/Madam' would be better. Additionally, the content is slightly repetitive and lacks the professional polish required for a formal business communication. To improve, ensure your ideas are fully developed with more precise language and maintain a formal register throughout the letter.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The letter is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow your points. However, the use of cohesive devices is quite limited and sometimes mechanical. Phrases like 'The main loving thing' and 'Secondly' are used, but the transitions between sentences are often abrupt. The flow of ideas is occasionally hindered by awkward phrasing, such as 'there is something something in their hotel is shortage of plates'. Improving the use of linking words and ensuring that each paragraph has a clear topic sentence would significantly enhance the logical progression of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
Your vocabulary is somewhat limited and relies on basic, sometimes inaccurate, word choices. Phrases like 'main loving thing' and 'eye catching' are not suitable for a formal letter. There are also issues with word formation and collocation, such as 'one of the employee' (should be 'employees') and 'launch' (likely meant 'lunch'). To reach a higher band, you should aim to use more precise, formal vocabulary and ensure that your word choices are appropriate for the context of a business complaint or feedback letter.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text that occasionally impede clarity. Examples include subject-verb agreement issues ('This event is mainly organise'), incorrect tense usage ('many customers faces trouble'), and awkward sentence structures ('I want that thing will be changed'). While you attempt some complex sentences, they are often grammatically flawed. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence structures, subject-verb agreement, and consistent verb tenses. Proofreading for small errors like pluralisation ('employee' vs 'employees') will also help improve your score.
