Task-1
Dear sir,
I am Anmol deep, an employee of staples in Collingwood town. I am writing this letter to inform you that last month we organized a new year celebration in your hotel. For celebration, we invited 500 people, some of them are reputative stakeholders. In the event we organised a dinner, multiple fun games and sitting arrangements for all of them.
I was the organiser of the event. I would like to mention some points which I really liked about your hotel. Firstly, I liked the ambience of your place, especially in the evening time, people can easily enjoy the sunset while sitting outside. Second most important point your staff is really helpful and respectful towards their customers, They helped me in organizing an event for my company and also provided me free meals
during my lunch time, which was really
scrumptious and really appreciated a lot.
Eventhough your services are awesome, I
would like to suggest you some areas for
improvement. you should expand your sitting
area in your hotel since I was unable to
arrange the proper seating for 500 people.
Second, you should work on the lightning
system of your place. Because, all of my
decorations were looking so dull due to
less light. Infact all of my guests, they
were unable to click perfect photos with other colleagues and complained me about getting dark pictures of them Hence,It would be great if you work on my suggestions.
Your's sincerely,
Anmol.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.0
You have successfully addressed all three bullet points in the prompt: providing details about the event, mentioning positive aspects of the hotel, and suggesting areas for improvement. The tone is appropriate for a formal letter to a manager. The ideas are relevant and clearly developed, such as the specific mention of the sunset view and the constructive criticism regarding lighting and seating capacity. To reach a higher band, ensure that the opening and closing salutations are perfectly aligned with formal conventions (e.g., 'Dear Sir or Madam' and 'Yours faithfully'). Overall, the task is fulfilled effectively.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The letter is logically organized into clear paragraphs, each focusing on a specific requirement of the task. You use some cohesive devices such as 'Firstly', 'Second', and 'Eventhough' to guide the reader. However, the flow could be improved by using a wider variety of linking words and ensuring that transitions between sentences are smoother. For instance, the transition between the positive feedback and the suggestions could be more sophisticated. Paragraphing is used appropriately, and the progression of ideas is easy to follow throughout the letter.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using words like 'ambience', 'scrumptious', and 'stakeholders' correctly. There are some minor issues with word choice and collocation, such as 'reputative stakeholders' (likely meaning 'reputable' or 'important') and 'lightning system' (which should be 'lighting system'). While these errors do not impede communication, they indicate a need for more precise vocabulary usage. To improve, focus on learning common collocations used in professional correspondence.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are several grammatical errors, such as 'complained me' (should be 'complained to me'), 'Infact' (should be 'In fact'), and 'Your's sincerely' (should be 'Yours sincerely'). Punctuation is occasionally inconsistent, particularly with comma usage and sentence fragments. The majority of your sentences are understandable, but the frequency of these minor errors prevents a higher score. Focusing on subject-verb agreement and standard punctuation will help improve your accuracy.
