Dear sir / madam,

I hope you are doing well.

I am writing to give a feedback on hotel services and management.

Our company's event took placed on 14 september at 6: p.m. evening. At first, the event was organised on 10 sepetember. However, due to some professional work, it had to postponed. we booked big conference room number A223 with dinner party at common garden at your hotel.

What I liked most about the hotel is that Its food service was excellent and food was served in professional manner. In addition, The staff were very helpful and supportive that can made hour event more success. Moreover, The environment was peaceful and friendly that make our meeting more effectively.

However, i would like to suggest some improvement. Firslty, It would be beneficial for the future events if you could increase chair facilities in main conference room. Secondly. you shouls also increse the numbers of staff, so it would be more helful in the future organisation.

I hope you consider my suggestions and thank you for your best services and management.

Yours faithfully,

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5

The candidate addresses all parts of the task prompt well. The letter begins with the required salutation and clearly provides details about the event, mentioning that the company's event took place on 14 September in the evening after being postponed from 10 September due to work commitments, and specifying the conference room A223 and the dinner party in the garden. Furthermore, the writer highlights what was particularly liked about the hotel, such as the excellent food service, helpful staff, and peaceful environment, and suggests actionable areas for improvement regarding the main conference room chair facilities and staff numbers. The tone is appropriate for a business letter to a hotel manager, and the purpose of the communication is clearly sustained throughout.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The letter exhibits a clear overall structure with an appropriate beginning and sign-off, divided into logical paragraphs that separate the introduction, event details, positive aspects, and suggestions for improvement. Cohesive devices are employed to link ideas, such as "At first", "However", "In addition", and "Moreover". However, referencing and paragraphing show some mechanical faults and inconsistencies, particularly with fragmented sentences like "At first, the event was organised on 10 sepetember. However, due to some professional work, it had to postponed." The use of cohesive devices is sometimes slightly repetitive or abrupt, but the logical progression from context to praise and finally to recommendations remains easy to follow throughout the text.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The candidate demonstrates an adequate vocabulary range for the task, attempting to use less common items and descriptive phrases such as "professional manner", "supportive", and "beneficial for the future events". However, there are notable spelling errors ("sepetember", "postponed" instead of "be postponed", "Firslty", "shouls", "increse", "helful") and occasional word choice and collocation slips, such as "give a feedback" instead of "provide feedback" or "increase chair facilities" instead of "provide additional chairs". Despite these vocabulary and spelling inaccuracies, the language used is sufficient to communicate the intended message without significantly impeding the reader's understanding.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, including subordinate clauses introduced by "that", "because", and conditional structures like "if you could increase". However, grammatical accuracy is inconsistent due to frequent errors, including missing auxiliary verbs ("it had to postponed", "that can made hour event"), tense and agreement errors ("that make our meeting more effectively" instead of "more effective"), and capitalization issues ("14 september", "english"). Punctuation control is also weak in places, with stray punctuation marks like "6: p.m." and fragmented sentences. While these errors do not completely obscure the meaning, they occur frequently enough to prevent the grammar score from reaching the higher bands.
