Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response covers all three bullet points required by the prompt, though the tone and perspective are somewhat confused at the opening. Specifically, the student writes "Thanks for inviting me on recent company event", which implies they were a guest rather than an organiser who helped run the event. However, subsequent sentences mention helping with the organisation. Details about the event are provided, including the food, beverages, and decorations. Likes are mentioned, such as the crowd management and aesthetics, and areas for improvement are suggested, including a ticketing system and sound equipment. Because all parts of the prompt are addressed, the response earns a Band 6.0 for Task Achievement, though clarity of role would improve the writing.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The letter is organised into distinct paragraphs corresponding to different themes, such as general impressions, positive aspects, and areas for improvement. Paragraphing is present, but the overall logical progression is occasionally disrupted by confusing transitions and awkward referencing. For instance, phrases like "Aspect this there was secaurity" make the flow mechanical and obscure the logical connections between ideas. Cohesive devices are attempted but are frequently inaccurate or used inappropriately. Therefore, the Coherence and Cohesion criterion aligns with the Band 5.0 descriptors, as the organisation shows basic structure but lacks smooth progression.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary used is limited and basic, with frequent spelling and word-choice errors that occasionally strain the reader. Examples of lexical inaccuracies include "coosing" instead of choosing, "ans" instead of and, "Accomanied" instead of Accompanied, "fabolous" instead of fabulous, and "despit it" instead of despite this. While the student attempts some less common vocabulary items like "responsibilites" and "management", the high density of spelling errors and inappropriate collocations keeps this response firmly at Band 5.0 according to the official lexical resource descriptors.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, but grammatical control is weak throughout the text. There are numerous errors in verb tenses, prepositions, and sentence structures, such as "We were enjoyed alot", "There was very good quality of food", and "sound system also not very good as i aspected". Punctuation and capitalisation errors are also prominent, including lowercase letters at the start of sentences. Because errors are frequent and occasionally cause difficulty for the reader, this performance matches the Band 5.0 descriptor for Grammatical Range and Accuracy.
