Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response covers all parts of the task prompt reasonably well. You provided details about the event, mentioning that you organised it at the hotel and that you had to arrange additional food. You also highlighted what you particularly liked, such as the amazing staff, the fascinating atmosphere, and the extraordinary ambiance. Furthermore, you clearly suggested areas for improvement, focusing specifically on the poor quality, taste, and smell of the food served, particularly the finger fish. While the ideas are relevant and fulfill the bullet points, the development is somewhat basic and informal, placing this performance in the Band 5 to 6 range. Because all parts of the task are adequately addressed, a score of 6.0 is appropriate.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The letter exhibits a coherent overall arrangement with a clear division of paragraphs, separating the positive aspects from the negative feedback and suggestions. However, cohesion is often faulty and mechanical. You rely on repetitive and sometimes incorrectly used transitional phrases such as "first of all i would like to admire", "Secondly", "Additionally", and "At last". Referencing is also occasionally unclear, such as "taste of the" where a noun is missing. Paragraphing is present, but the lack of smooth logical progression and mechanical linking devices keeps the coherence at a Band 5.0 level.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is somewhat limited and contains frequent spelling and word-choice errors that occasionally impede communication. Examples of errors include "writting" instead of writing, "Everthing" instead of everything, "fasinating" instead of fascinating, "trilled" instead of thrilled, "extry ordinary" instead of extraordinary, and "crusual" instead of crucial. While you attempted some less common items like "ambiance" and "cuisines", the high density of spelling mistakes and awkward collocations (e.g., "taste of the", "smell was not good that i didn't ate it") restricts the lexical score to Band 4.5, rounded to 5.0 for adequate task coverage.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
There is a mix of simple and complex sentence forms attempted, but grammatical control is weak. You made numerous errors throughout the text, including capitalization errors (e.g., lowercase 'i'), tense and agreement issues ("i'm writting", "Everthing this amazing", "everyone didn't like"), and faulty complex structures ("that how they handled everthing is cheery on the top" and "the smell was not good that i didn't ate it"). Punctuation is also problematic with run-on sentences. These frequent errors cause difficulty for the reader and align with the Band 5 descriptor.
