Dear Sir/Madam
Re: Event organised by first service residential company at Clare inn Hotel
I hope you are doing well, Today I am writing this letter for the apperication about your staff memebers and the cleaning at your hotel. Recently, we have organized a small get together and there was a traditional theme for this event. It was quite challenging becuase of the time limit and arrangements for multiple cousins but when I have discussed it with your team, they have guided me through each step and helped in organising costum designs, venue and food. Apart from this, higher authorities from the company and the collegues were appreciating me about the choice of hotel and the customer service provided by them.
However, I would like to recommend about improving furniture and lighting can even make it more popular. There is no doubt that Clare Inn is one of the Top Hotels in Toronto but the brand value can be increased even more by looking into these particular areas and Clare Inn will become the competittor of Blue Jays which in one of the most popular Hotel of Ontario where all the wealthy people prefer to stay.
Yours sincerely

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.0
You successfully covered all parts of the letter prompt. You provided details about the event, mentioning that it was a small get-together with a traditional theme and a tight schedule. You also highlighted what you liked about the hotel, specifically praising the staff members for their guidance with costumes, venue, and food, as well as the overall cleaning. Furthermore, you suggested areas for improvement, recommending upgrades to the furniture and lighting. Your tone is appropriate for a formal letter to a manager. However, there are some minor inaccuracies, such as mentioning the 'cleaning' rather than the cleanliness or housekeeping. Despite this, all bullet points are addressed effectively, placing your performance well within the Band 7 range.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.0
Your letter has a clear overall progression. You open with a standard salutation and purpose statement, move smoothly into the details and compliments, and then transition to your suggestions using the transitional phrase 'However, I would like to recommend...'. Paragraphing is used sufficiently to separate the different sections of the letter, such as the event details versus the recommendations. Cohesive devices are generally well managed, though referencing can occasionally be slightly unclear, such as 'provided by them' referring back to the hotel staff. Overall, your thoughts are logically sequenced and easy to follow, supporting a solid Band 7 score for coherence and cohesion.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary suitable for the task, attempting some less common items such as 'traditional theme', 'brand value', and 'customer service'. However, there are noticeable spelling and word choice errors throughout the text, including 'apperication' instead of appreciation, 'memebers' instead of members, 'becuase' instead of because, 'cousins' instead of cuisines, and 'costum' instead of custom. Additionally, 'competittor' is misspelled. These lexical slips and minor inaccuracies prevent a higher score, but your vocabulary remains sufficient to communicate your message clearly without causing major difficulty for the reader, aligning with Band 6.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, such as using subordinate clauses like 'when I have discussed it with your team'. However, there are several grammatical errors and tense inaccuracies. For example, 'Today I am writing this letter for the apperication' is awkward, and 'Recently, we have organized' should ideally be past simple ('we organized') given the finished time reference. There is also an error with articles and prepositions in phrases like 'which in one of the most popular Hotel'. While these errors occasionally distract, they rarely impede overall communication, placing your grammatical performance at a Band 6.
