Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response covers all three bullet points required by the prompt. You successfully provided details about the event, mentioning that your company organized a small gathering to showcase electronic items such as a mixer machine and roti maker. You also mentioned what you particularly liked, specifically praising the helpful and supportive hotel staff, the clean food area, and the amazing food taste. Furthermore, you suggested areas for improvement by pointing out the hall. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat limited and basic. For example, suggesting that "You should improve hall" lacks specific details on what needs upgrading, such as lighting, size, or equipment. The tone is appropriate for a formal letter to a manager. Overall, the task is addressed, placing this submission firmly at a Band 5.5 to 6.0 level.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The letter exhibits a coherent overall arrangement with clear paragraphing that separates the introduction, the event details, the positive aspects, the suggestions, and the conclusion. However, cohesion is heavily mechanical and repetitive. You rely excessively on the transition word "So" to link ideas and sentences, such as in "So, I am writing..." and "So this event..." and "So, i would assist...". Paragraphing is used sufficiently to structure the letter, but referencing and logical progression are occasionally hindered by abrupt transitions and the overuse of simple conjunctive ties. Addressing this mechanical cohesion and using a wider variety of cohesive devices would improve the score.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary used is adequate for the task, but it shows limited flexibility and contains numerous spelling and word-choice errors. Examples of spelling errors include "manger" instead of manager, "taxtile industy" instead of textile industry, "gedgets" instead of gadgets, "Actualy" instead of Actually, "iteams" instead of items, "matchine" instead of machine, "beacuse" instead of because, "suppotive" instead of supportive, "test" instead of taste, and "exelent" instead of excellent. While communication is not severely impeded and your meaning remains clear, the high frequency of basic lexical and spelling inaccuracies prevents the vocabulary score from reaching higher bands.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The response uses a mix of simple and some complex sentence forms, such as "I am writing this letter to inform you about an event which we organise at your hotel." However, grammatical accuracy is weak, with frequent errors in punctuation, capitalization, and verb forms. Examples include missing spaces after commas (e.g., "First of all,I would..."), incorrect capitalization ("So, i would..."), and tense or modal verb errors ("I hope you shoul accept my suggestion"). There are also run-on ideas connected awkwardly with commas and conjunctions. Despite these errors, the sentences are generally understandable, demonstrating control typical of a Band 5.0 performance.
