Moreover, there is a need to do some improvements. there is a need of more workers like there is gathering of 500 people so you have limited staff for serving. Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
The response addresses the main parts of the task by mentioning details about the event, what was liked, and suggesting improvements, but some ideas are limited and under-developed. There is a noticeable temporal confusion in the opening where the writer states "our campany want to organise event" (present/future intent) when the prompt specifies they "recently helped" organise an event. The details about the event and hotel features, such as "It has a big hall. You decorate it according to individual choice," are stated simply without adequate elaboration. To reach a higher band, the response would need to more clearly reflect a past event, provide richer context, and fully develop all bullet points with more specific supporting details.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
There is a clear overall arrangement with paragraphs used to separate the different parts of the letter, such as the introduction of details and likes in the first body section, followed by areas for improvement in the second. Cohesive devices are used, such as "In addition," "Secondly," and "Moreover," though some referencing and transitions are a bit mechanical or repetitive. For instance, the transition "One thing more which i like the most" is somewhat clumsy. While the progression of ideas is generally understandable, improving the flexibility and natural flow of cohesive ties between sentences would help elevate the coherence of the letter.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is limited and minimally adequate for the task. There are several noticeable spelling and word-choice errors that detract from the quality, such as "writting" instead of writing, "campany" instead of company, "emplyees" instead of employees, and "advertisement" instead of advertisement. Collocations and word choices are basic, such as "give a party" or "throw waste material in it." Although the meaning can generally be followed despite these slips, the frequent spelling and lexical inaccuracies prevent the response from achieving a higher band.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The response displays a limited range of sentence structures, relying primarily on simple sentences alongside a few basic complex forms which are often faulty. There are frequent grammatical errors, including tense and agreement issues such as "our campany want" instead of wanted, "our organisation get" instead of got, and "the food and service is very good" where a plural verb or restructuring is required. Punctuation and article usage also show persistent inaccuracies, such as missing capitalisation at the start of sentences ("there is a need"). These frequent errors cause some difficulty and distraction for the reader.
