You do NOT need to write any addresses.

Begin your letter as follows:
Dear Sir / Madam,

Student answer (Band 6.5)

Dear Sir,

I am writing to you to share some views regarding the service that your hotel provided us on 13th September.

Last weekend, our company celebrated employees appreciation day in your hotel. There was a gathering of 100 people, and food was also got served. Our manager decided to organise this small party to appreciate all the employees who worked in the company.

No dobut, food was very tempting, and the decoration was minimal but amazing. Moreover, everybody enjoyed the unique flavours of mocktails. The hall was neat and tidy, and the staff was very polite. Thus, all the workers were extremely impressed by your service.

Unfortunately, the restrooms were not properly clean, most of washrooms were clogged. I would like to request you to put notice charts on the washrooms which are not in service. It will be really great if you took this problem as a serious concern.

Thank you for considering my request.

Kind regards,

Sam

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 7.0

The letter addresses all three requirements: it identifies the company’s employee appreciation event, describes what you liked about the hotel, and raises a specific concern about the restrooms. Details such as the gathering of 100 people and the food, decoration, mocktails, and staff make the account relevant and clear. The request for notices on washrooms that are out of service is also practical. To strengthen the response further, develop the improvement point by explaining how the clogged facilities affected guests or by suggesting a specific way to prevent the problem. The opening and closing are appropriate, though using the requested salutation, “Dear Sir / Madam,” would align more closely with the task.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 7.0

The information is arranged in a clear sequence: purpose, event details, positive feedback, and then the problem and request. Paragraphing supports this progression, and linking expressions such as “Moreover,” “Thus,” and “Unfortunately” help signal relationships between ideas. The letter is easy to follow overall. Some connections are a little abrupt, however: the shift from the positive comments to the restroom complaint could be made more smoothly, and “Thus” does not quite express the relationship between the staff’s politeness and the workers’ impression. A more precise link, or a brief transition indicating that you also wish to mention one concern, would make cohesion more flexible and natural.

Lexical Resource: Band 6.0

The response uses an adequate range for a formal service letter, including relevant expressions such as “employees appreciation day,” “unique flavours,” “neat and tidy,” and “serious concern.” These choices communicate the event and the feedback clearly, and the reader can understand the intended meaning throughout. Some word choices and collocations are inaccurate or unnatural, including “food was also got served,” “restrooms were not properly clean,” and “notice charts.” There is also a spelling error in “dobut.” Aim for more precise, natural combinations and check spelling: for example, describe food as “was served,” facilities as “not properly cleaned,” and signs as “notices” or “signs.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 6.0

You use a mix of simple sentences and more developed structures, including “I would like to request you to put…” and the relative clause “employees who worked in the company.” Most ideas remain clear, and the sentence forms are varied enough to communicate both praise and a request. Some grammatical errors remain, such as the passive construction in “food was also got served,” the missing article in “most of washrooms,” and the conditional form “if you took this problem.” There is also a punctuation-spacing issue in “polite.Thus.” Review passive forms, articles, and conditional patterns; for instance, “It would be great if you took this concern seriously” is a more controlled construction.
