Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

You address all three points: you identify the occasion as your company’s 25th foundation day, mention the 250 guests and positive features such as the decoration, food and photographs, and give a clear improvement request about the women’s washrooms. The appreciative purpose and the request are easy to understand. This meets the task well, but some details are less fully developed: for example, you say the event was “well organised” without explaining what worked particularly well, and the washroom complaint could include a specific suggestion, such as more frequent cleaning. The description of the theme is also unclear. Developing these points and making the feedback more precise would make the letter more complete and persuasive.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The letter has a recognisable structure: an opening purpose, paragraphs describing the event and hotel, a paragraph for the improvement request, and a closing. This gives the reader an overall sense of progression. However, links between ideas are sometimes abrupt, and the event description reads like a list of separate comments. For instance, “Decoration is quite impressive and subtle” is followed by several points joined with “And,” making the relationships between them less clear. The sentence about the theme is difficult to follow, so its connection to the event details is lost. Use clearer topic sentences and group related praise together, then introduce the criticism with a transition such as “One area that could be improved is…”

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use relevant vocabulary for the situation, including “guests,” “decoration,” “cutlery,” “washrooms,” and “return gifts,” and your positive and negative comments are generally understandable. There are also attempts at more descriptive language, such as “impressive and subtle” and “emotional.” However, several word choices and collocations are inaccurate or awkward, including “foundation day,” “happy from the cutlery,” and “lacking off.” Spelling errors such as “especialy” and “photographe[s]” also reduce accuracy. Aim for natural phrases that fit a formal letter, and check spelling and word forms carefully. More precise vocabulary would help you express both your appreciation and your suggestions clearly.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentence forms, and the reader can usually understand the main message. However, control is inconsistent, particularly in longer sentences. The opening, “I am writing this letter regarding to inform you,” combines structures incorrectly, while “an event in your hotel that held last week” needs a passive form such as “that was held last week.” In “the theme I discuss with you and we selected have seen overthere,” the verb forms and sentence structure make the meaning unclear. There are also errors with articles, agreement and punctuation, as in “as a feedbacks” and the spaces before full stops. Practise building accurate sentences first, then combine ideas using relative clauses and conjunctions.
