Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 7.0

The letter addresses all three required points: it identifies a five-hour company meeting with international partners, praises the staff’s hospitality and the food, and reports problems with the projector and Wi-Fi. The purpose is clear from the opening, and the closing expresses appreciation while looking ahead to future events. These details make the response relevant and complete. To strengthen the development further, explain the impact of the equipment problems or make the requested improvements more specific—for example, asking the hotel to test or upgrade the projector and improve Wi-Fi coverage before future meetings. The positive comments could also be tied more explicitly to how they benefited the event, rather than remaining general.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The information follows a sensible sequence: the reason for writing, event details, positive features, problems, and a closing. Paragraph breaks help distinguish these stages, and linking expressions such as “Additionally,” “Although,” and “Moreover” show an effort to connect ideas. This gives the letter a coherent overall arrangement. However, some connections are awkward or unclear, particularly “Some areas where we found some difficults, I would like to discuss with you,” which interrupts the transition into the complaints. The final paragraph also combines thanks and a future request without a smooth link. Use clearer topic sentences and more natural transitions, and ensure each paragraph develops one main purpose.

Lexical Resource: Band 6.0

The response uses an adequate range for a formal hotel letter, including relevant terms such as “international partners,” “hospitality,” “professionalism,” “projector,” and “conference.” The writer also attempts more specific expressions, such as “traditional roots,” though this is not quite the intended collocation for food. Several spelling and word-choice errors—“experieced,” “Firday,” “difficults,” and “projecter”—reduce accuracy, while phrases such as “a feedback” and “some causes” sound unnatural. These errors do not prevent the reader from understanding the main message, but more reliable collocations and careful proofreading would improve precision. Prefer conventional expressions such as “feedback on your services,” “technical difficulties,” and “traditional cuisine.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

There is some variety in sentence structure, including a complex sentence beginning “Although we get access of projector” and a relative clause in “which generated some causes.” The main message remains understandable, but grammatical control is uneven. Examples include “It was five hours event” (missing an article), “our participants impressed” (the verb pattern requires “were impressed”), and “Wifi signal was not worked properly” (the verb form is incorrect). The opening sentence also has an unclear structure, and punctuation around the hotel name is awkward. Practise accurate article use, passive constructions, and past-tense forms, then check that each sentence has a clear subject and verb. This will make the existing range more controlled.
