Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

The letter covers all three requested points: it identifies a company event held on Christmas Day, describes features you liked, and raises a concern about washroom cleaning. The details about the parking facilities and the guests’ difficulty-free access are relevant, and the request for more regular cleaning gives the manager a practical action to consider. However, some points are less fully explained: the event description is brief, and “large option of venue” does not clearly explain what venue choice was provided. The improvement request would also be stronger if it specified when cleaning should take place. Use the requested opening, “Dear Sir / Madam,” and a more suitable closing such as “Yours sincerely” to make the letter’s purpose and tone clearer.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The information is arranged in a generally sensible order: you introduce the event, describe positive features, then explain a problem and make a request. Paragraph breaks help distinguish these points, and expressions such as “Apart from that” and “However” signal a change in direction. Some connections are less clear, though. For example, “As well as refreshment was excellent as hotel provided large option of venue” combines several ideas without showing their relationship, while “The amenities which I profound more” makes the transition to the parking detail difficult to follow. Aim for one main point per sentence and use linking phrases only when their relationship is clear. A conventional salutation and sign-off would also make the letter’s overall structure more complete.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt vocabulary relevant to a hotel event, including “musical concert,” “recreational activities,” “amenities,” and “parking facilities.” These choices show an effort to describe both the event and the hotel’s services. However, spelling errors and inaccurate word choices are noticeable and sometimes make the message harder to understand: “oragnised,” “excillent,” “quests,” and “profound” are examples. Some phrases are also unnatural, such as “make this event more efficient for company” and “large option of venue.” Choose familiar, precise expressions rather than reaching for a less suitable word; for instance, describe the activities as making the event “more enjoyable,” and refer to the hotel’s “range of venues.” Proofreading spelling and collocations would improve clarity.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The letter includes both simple statements and attempts at longer structures, such as “I would appreciate if you will investigate…” and the sentence beginning “However, cleaning was main concern.” This shows some range, but several grammatical errors affect clarity. Articles and verb forms are problematic in “cleaning was main concern” and “they did not came,” while “I would appreciate if you will investigate” needs a more suitable conditional construction. There are also agreement and sentence-boundary problems in “refreshment was excellent as hotel provided…” and inconsistent punctuation around clauses. Practise accurate past-tense forms and conditional requests, and separate connected ideas into complete sentences. These changes would make your meaning easier to follow while retaining varied sentence structures.
