Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
The letter gives relevant background about the company, the event’s purpose and date, and what attracted you to the hotel. However, it does not fully match the situation: the prompt says you have already helped organise an event there, whereas you write that the company “wants to organise” one in the future. The request to the manager is also unclear, and the required suggestion for improvement is not actually made. The final paragraph mainly describes the space and seating you need, rather than identifying something the hotel should improve. To strengthen the response, describe the completed event, clearly state what you particularly appreciated, and offer a specific, tactful improvement suggestion.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response is divided into paragraphs that broadly separate the event details, positive comments and practical arrangements, and signposting such as “Firstly” and “Moreover” helps show the intended sequence. However, the progression is not fully clear because the letter shifts from describing a future event to discussing the hotel, then to requirements, without a clear request or conclusion. Some linking is mechanical, and the final paragraph repeats the need for space and seating for 2,000 people. The closing does not clearly connect to the purpose of the letter. Organise the content around the three requested points, use transitions that show the relationship between ideas, and make the improvement suggestion a distinct point.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant vocabulary for a business event, including “stakeholders,” “launching of new products and services,” and “seating arrangements.” The meaning is generally recoverable, but the range is limited and several spelling and word-choice errors make the letter less natural, such as “comapny,” “throught,” “differnt,” and “infrastructre.” Some phrases are also awkward or imprecise, including “normaly place” and “one of the best in which i intreseted.” Choose standard collocations and check spelling carefully. For example, describe the venue’s “facilities” and “capacity,” and say that you were “particularly impressed by” the hall rather than using an unclear construction.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The letter attempts both simple and longer sentence forms, and the event details are usually understandable. However, complex sentences are often faulty, and errors occur frequently enough to make some passages difficult to follow. For example, “our company's name is Optical private ltd. which is having business” has an awkward relative clause and verb construction; “I liked the most about your hotel is…” lacks a clear grammatical structure; and “i am looking for hear you soon” uses an incorrect verb pattern. There are also inconsistent capitalisation and punctuation choices. Practise forming clear clauses with accurate verb patterns, such as “I was particularly impressed by…” and “I look forward to hearing from you,” and proofread sentence boundaries and capital letters.
