Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
You address all three requested points: you explain that the event was a 15-person company conference with lunch, praise the welcoming staff and decoration, and identify a problem with the food being served cold or insufficiently warmed. The purpose is clear and the complaint is relevant. The event details and positive comments are understandable, but some points are only briefly developed; for example, you do not explain what specific arrangements worked especially well, and the food concern would be stronger with a clear description of what happened and its effect. The request to investigate is appropriate, though a more direct, courteous request for action would make the letter more complete and persuasive.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The letter has a coherent overall arrangement: an opening purpose, a paragraph about the event, praise, a complaint with a suggestion, and a closing. Sequencing words such as “Firstly” and the transition to “I was only disappointed” help the reader follow the main points. However, some links feel mechanical, and punctuation around sentence boundaries is inconsistent, as in “event.Actually” and “floor.It.” The praise paragraph also moves quickly between staff, decoration, your boss’s reaction, and your own satisfaction. Grouping related details more smoothly and using clearer transitions between the event description, appreciation, and complaint would create more natural progression.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant vocabulary for a hotel complaint, including “conference hall,” “buffet,” “welcoming,” “supportive,” and “investigate,” so the message remains understandable. There are also attempts at more descriptive language, such as “incredible” and “eye-catching.” However, noticeable spelling and word-choice errors reduce precision: “recieved,” “confrerence,” “disapointent,” and “cutsomers” are difficult to overlook, while phrases such as “provide you a feedback” and “food was not served freshed” are not natural collocations. Some wording is also vague, particularly “all the arrangement.” Proofreading spelling and choosing more conventional expressions for feedback and food service would make the vocabulary more accurate and professional.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and more developed sentences, including “I believe you understand this because…” and “I would like to suggest you to investigate…”. The main message is generally clear, but grammatical control is uneven. Examples include missing or incorrect articles and prepositions in “provide you a feedback” and “in last weak,” tense and verb-form problems in “I choose your regency,” and the construction “food was an important to shows.” Capitalisation and sentence punctuation also need attention, with lower-case “i” and several sentences joined directly after full stops. Review article use, verb forms, and sentence boundaries, then check each sentence for a complete and natural grammatical structure.
