Dear Sir/ Madam
I am supervisor of the XYZ company. last night we held an event in your hotel. I am writing this letter to appreciate your management.
The event was well organized. The staff was be nice and the food which we had so delicious. Moreover, overall arrangements was good. In addition, I am really impressed by the hotel interior design and the decoration of the flowers which everyone liked that. Furthermore, your managing team leader Alex manage everything nicely and in whole event we did not face any type of problem
Apart from that, My management and I personally like to share that, you should improve the hall lights which was so dim and it hard for them who had eyesight problem. on the other hand, the entrance of the hall is to small for a huge event.
I hope you gonna look into that and forward to hearing from you.
Your faithfully

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address all three requested points: you identify the event as a company event, praise the staff, food, arrangements and interior, and suggest improvements to the lighting and entrance. The positive comments are relevant, and the specific reference to the dim lights affecting guests with eyesight problems helps explain your suggestion. However, some details are less fully developed: the event itself is described only as an event, without its purpose, size or activities, and the entrance concern could be explained more clearly. The letter’s purpose is clear, but a more complete account of the event and more precise explanations of the suggested changes would make the response more fully developed.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The letter has a clear overall sequence: it introduces the event, gives positive feedback, then turns to improvements and closes with a request for action. Paragraphing supports this progression, and linking expressions such as “Moreover,” “In addition,” and “Apart from that” help connect points. This organisation is effective, though some transitions feel mechanical because several connectors are used in succession. The long sentence beginning “In addition” combines the design, flowers and manager’s performance, making the praise harder to follow. Also, “which everyone liked that” leaves the reference unclear. Grouping related comments into shorter sentences and using clearer references would make cohesion more natural and precise.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use enough vocabulary to communicate the main points, including relevant terms such as “management,” “arrangements,” “interior design,” “decoration” and “dim.” There are also attempts at more specific language, such as describing the hall lighting and entrance. However, several choices and collocations are noticeably unnatural or imprecise: “the staff was be nice,” “the food which we had so delicious,” and “in whole event” do not express the ideas naturally. “Huge event” is also less precise than a description of the event’s size or attendance. Aim for conventional phrases such as “the staff were welcoming” and “the food was delicious,” and check word forms and spelling to make your meaning smoother.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentence forms, and the reader can generally understand the message. However, errors in verb forms, agreement, articles and sentence construction are evident in examples such as “I am supervisor,” “The staff was be nice,” “arrangements was good,” and “Alex manage everything.” The sentence about the flowers also has an unclear structure: “which everyone liked that.” Capitalisation and punctuation need attention, including the lowercase “last night” after the salutation and the comma splice in “I hope you gonna look into that and forward to hearing from you.” Practise accurate past-tense reporting and build longer sentences around one clear main clause; this will improve control without limiting your range.
