Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You address all three requested points: you report that the company event was successful, praise the hall, food and staff, and identify leaking taps and weak water pressure as problems. However, the event details are very general; the reader is not told what kind of event it was or when it took place. Your positive comments are also repeated rather than developed, and the improvement request could be clearer about what action you want the manager to take. The response is 20 words below the required minimum, so it does not meet the task’s length requirement. Add specific event information and a polite, direct request for repairs, then develop the letter sufficiently.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The ideas are broadly arranged in a useful order: event and service details come first, followed by what you liked and then the suggested improvement. This gives the reader a basic sense of the letter’s purpose. However, the response is presented as one long block, with little punctuation separating ideas, so the progression is difficult to follow. Repeated links such as “and” and the abrupt shift to “I suggest” do not clearly signal the relationship between points. Use separate paragraphs for the event, positive feedback and recommendation, and connect them with clear transitions such as “In addition” and “However.” This would make the organisation more consistent and easier to read.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use relevant vocabulary for a hotel review, including “reception hall,” “food service,” “well-trained,” “elegant” and “atmosphere.” These choices communicate the main points, but the range is limited and several phrases are repeated or used inaccurately, which makes the letter sound less natural. For example, “the event of the hotel” is unclear, “very stylished” is not an appropriate form, and “the atmosphere … was so relax” uses the wrong word form. There are also spelling errors such as “beacase” and “preasure.” Build a more precise range of event and service vocabulary, and check spelling and collocations before submitting.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The response relies mainly on short, simple statements and shows limited control of sentence structure. Several errors occur in basic verb forms and agreement: “I write this letter” would be more appropriate as “I am writing,” “the hall … was manage” needs a past participle, and “the faucet are leaking” has a subject–verb agreement error. Articles and sentence boundaries also need attention, as in “it very delicious” and the run-on sequence joining several comments with commas. These errors sometimes make the message harder to follow. Practise accurate past-tense descriptions and complete sentence patterns, and use full stops to separate ideas. A few correctly formed complex sentences would also add variety.
