Dear Sir / Madam,

I am writing to you regarding an event was recently organised by my company. I want to to thank you for your efforts that hepls to succes this event and suggest some improvements.

The event wa held in the 5th of the last month, and it was about advertising the zero papaer use for companies in oil and gaz sector. A lot IT managers had attend it, and they all enjoy the event and like the oraganisation.

What I like the most was the clean area, it was spotless. Also the stuff was very helpful, they help the poeple in chosing the drinks and be relaxed. And of course the food was exeptionely delicous.

However, I like to suggest some improvements, like the variation of menu, that did not include sea food

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You cover the three requested points: you identify the event as a company event about reducing paper use, praise the cleanliness, staff and food, and suggest adding seafood to the menu. These details are relevant, but the event description and improvement suggestion are brief and would benefit from explanation—for example, how many people attended or what menu options would be useful. The letter also ends abruptly at “Kind re,” without a complete closing, which makes the purpose feel unfinished. The response is 12 words below the required minimum, so it needs more development as well as a complete sign-off. Expand the details while keeping the tone appropriate for a hotel manager.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The letter has a generally sensible order: an opening, a paragraph about the event, a paragraph describing what you liked, and a final suggestion. This makes the main points easy to locate. However, the progression is not fully smooth: the opening combines thanks and a promise to suggest improvements, while the final paragraph is very short and the closing is incomplete. Some linking is also mechanical, particularly the repeated use of “Also” and “And of course.” Develop the final point into a complete paragraph and use clearer transitions to connect the praise with the constructive suggestion. A complete sign-off would also give the letter a more coherent overall shape.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use relevant vocabulary for the situation, including “event,” “IT managers,” “organisation,” “spotless,” “staff,” and “menu.” “Spotless” is an effective, precise choice for describing the hotel’s cleanliness. However, the range is limited, and several spelling errors or awkward word choices make parts of the letter less clear, such as “zero papaer,” “oraganisation,” and “exeptionely delicous.” Some phrases are also imprecise, including “the variation of menu” and “help the people in choosing the drinks.” Proofread spelling carefully and choose natural collocations, such as “a wider choice of dishes” and “help guests choose drinks.” This would make your praise and recommendation more polished.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple sentences and more developed structures, such as “What I like the most was the clean area” and the sentence beginning “I am writing to you.” However, errors occur in basic sentence construction and verb forms, and they sometimes make the reader pause. For example, “regarding an event was recently organised” needs a grammatical link, such as “regarding an event that was recently organised”; “The event wa held in the 5th” has an incorrect verb form and preposition; and “A lot IT managers had attend it” has problems with the article and verb form. The final fragment, “Kind re,” is also incomplete. Practise accurate past-tense forms and complete sentence patterns, then proofread each sentence.
