Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You address all three required points: you explain that the event is a retirement party on the 24th, describe the tables and food, identify the upstairs hall, location and parking as positives, and suggest improving staff behaviour. These details make the purpose clear and keep the letter relevant. However, some points are less fully developed than others. For example, the event details do not specify the expected date more precisely, and the criticism of staff is general: you do not give an example of the behaviour or explain what improvement you would like beyond polite treatment. Developing these points and making the request to the manager more tactful and specific would make the letter more complete and effective.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The information follows a broadly sensible order: event arrangements and reasons for choosing the hotel come first, followed by a suggestion for improvement. Linking expressions such as “therefore,” “Also,” and “in addition” help connect some ideas. However, the response is presented as one long block, so the shift from describing the hotel to raising a concern is not clearly signposted. Some connections are also awkward or unclear, particularly the sentence beginning “All these attracts me more to book your hotel.” Use separate paragraphs for the event and positive features, then the improvement request, and make references such as “these features” explicit. This would strengthen the overall progression and make the letter easier to follow.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use a relevant range of vocabulary for the situation, including “retirement party,” “round tables,” “spacious,” “music system,” and “parking area.” These choices communicate the main arrangements and hotel features. There are, however, several inaccurate or unnatural expressions that limit precision, such as “grab your attention toward this event,” “your is famous,” and “take keen interest in this matter.” Spelling and word-form slips, including “prefered” and “ibehavior,” also affect the professional impression. Aim for natural collocations and a consistently formal register; for example, explain that you are writing to discuss the event, and describe the staff’s service as an area needing attention. The intended meaning is generally recoverable.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a reason clause with “because” and a relative clause describing the event. The main message remains understandable, but some grammatical errors occur across the response. For example, “My company want me arrange” needs a correctly formed verb and infinitive, while “that will be on 24th” lacks a clear grammatical link to the event. There are also agreement and article problems in “All these attracts me” and “your is famous,” as well as sentence-boundary and capitalisation issues after full stops. Review subject–verb agreement, articles, and clause construction, and divide the long opening section into shorter sentences. This would improve accuracy while preserving your range of structures.
