Student answer (Band 6.5)
Dear Sir/Madam,
I am Tania chakraborty, I organised a induction trainning program in your hotel on 6th of current month where many new joinners of our company participated.
They really liked the arrangements and the hospitality. I personally loved the food hygiene they maintained and also they follow the instruction i gave about the veg and non veg items. Each and everyone was so welcoming and generous toward us.
One more thing i want to add the screening quality of the projector, it was very much noticible. As it was the induction training for new joinners and our company is based on live photograpy projects, it was necessary to identify each minor color present in every slides.
Although everything was good but i want to suggest one thing about the parking facility. As far i knew it was in the basement of the hotel previously but now it is in the backyard of the hotel , unfortunately this information was not updated in the invitation card so our guests were very much confused about that but thankfully they got the information from security point.
Finally i can say it was a good arrangement accept few things, hope it will improve in near future.
Thanking you,
Tania chakraborty.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 7.0
The letter addresses all three requested points: it identifies the induction training event and date, describes positive features such as the food arrangements and projector, and explains the parking problem. The reason projector quality mattered—showing colours clearly in the company’s photography work—also gives useful supporting detail. The tone is generally appreciative while still making a clear, polite suggestion. To make the response more fully developed, clarify the event’s scale or outcome and state more directly what action you would like the hotel to take, such as updating parking information on future invitations. The closing comment that the arrangement was good despite “few things” is rather general compared with the specific earlier feedback.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The information follows a sensible order: event details, positive comments, then an area for improvement and a closing. Paragraphing helps distinguish the praise from the parking concern, and links such as “Although” and “Finally” guide the reader through the letter. This gives the response a coherent overall arrangement. However, some connections are mechanical or unclear: “One more thing i want to add” introduces the projector point abruptly, while “Although everything was good but” combines two contrasting linkers unnecessarily. The long parking sentence would be easier to follow if divided into shorter units, with the change in parking location and the invitation-card problem explained separately. More precise referencing and smoother transitions would strengthen the progression.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
The vocabulary is adequate for the purpose and includes some specific terms, such as “hospitality,” “screening quality,” “projector,” and “parking facility.” These choices help communicate the event feedback, and the reader can understand the intended meaning despite several spelling and word-choice errors. Some expressions are imprecise or unnatural, including “food hygiene they maintained,” “screening quality,” and “got the information from security point.” Spelling errors such as “trainning,” “joinners,” “photograpy,” and “noticible” also reduce accuracy. Aim for more natural collocations and check spelling carefully; for example, describe the food as “well prepared” and the projector’s “image quality” as clear.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
The letter attempts a mixture of simple and more complex sentences, including a reason clause beginning “As it was the induction training” and a contrast introduced by “Although.” Meaning is generally recoverable, but some grammatical errors and punctuation problems remain. Examples include “I organised a induction” (article choice), “they follow the instruction i gave” (tense and capitalisation), and “Although everything was good but” (incorrect clause construction). The sentence beginning “As far i knew” also lacks the grammatical form “as far as I knew,” and several long sentences would benefit from clearer punctuation. Practise accurate articles, tense consistency, and combining clauses correctly while retaining the range of structures you are attempting.
