Dear Sir/ Madam,

I would like to express my appreciation for the excellent services I received in a company hotel. I would sugget some improvement in the hotel.

Our company organised an event for gathering of 50 employees. Beautiful decoration and even a music arangement make event successful.

I particularly like cleanliness of the hotel and service staffs attitude and even food too.

I would like to mentioned some changes particularly about the conference room in the hotel. If you removed extra chairs and tables from venue it would increase more space for dance and standing. Decoration should according to office event such as less vibrant and elegant which ehance party look. Encourage more team activities to engage everyone which helpful in team bond.

I would appreciate if you could make these changes before any future events. Then participant feel comfortable and party will be more engaging and enjoyable in their comfort zone. Also please increase the parking slot for employees parking too.

Thank you for time and consideration and for services.

Thanks, and Regards,

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

You address all three requested points: you identify a company gathering for 50 employees, praise the hotel’s cleanliness, staff service and food, and suggest changes to the conference room, decoration, activities and parking. The purpose of the letter is clear and the suggestions are relevant. The event description, however, is brief: the music and decoration are mentioned without explaining what the event involved or how the hotel supported it. Some recommendations, such as adding team activities, could also be explained more specifically. This covers the task well overall, with some ideas developed more fully than others; adding a little detail about the event and the practical benefit of each suggestion would make the response more complete.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The letter has a clear overall arrangement: it opens with appreciation, gives event details, describes what you liked, and then presents improvements and a closing. Separate paragraphs help the reader follow these stages. However, the progression within the suggestions paragraph is somewhat abrupt, moving from furniture to decoration to activities without much linking or grouping. Phrases such as “particularly” recur, and “Then” does not make the relationship between the proposed changes and the outcome entirely smooth. Use clearer transitions and group related venue suggestions together; for example, explain the room layout first, then the atmosphere and activities. This would make the organisation feel less list-like while preserving the clear overall structure.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use relevant vocabulary for a hotel event, including “conference room,” “decoration,” “parking” and “team activities,” so the main message is understandable. There are also attempts at more specific expressions such as “vibrant and elegant” and “engage everyone.” However, several spelling and word-choice errors reduce precision, including “sugget,” “arangement,” “ehance” and “service staffs attitude.” Some phrases are also unnatural, such as “company hotel,” “increase more space” and “in their comfort zone.” Aim for accurate collocations and forms, such as “the hotel where our company held its event,” “create more space,” and “the staff’s attitude.” Proofreading these choices would make the letter more fluent and professional.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt both simple statements and more complex forms, including the conditional suggestion “If you removed extra chairs and tables … it would increase more space” and the request “I would appreciate if you could make these changes.” The intended meaning is generally clear, but some grammatical errors remain. For example, “I would like to mentioned” needs the infinitive “mention,” while “Beautiful decoration and even a music arrangement make event successful” has problems with articles and sentence structure. In “which helpful in team bond,” the relative clause is incomplete. Check verb forms, articles and clause construction, and make sure each sentence has a clear subject and verb. More accurate control of these structures would strengthen the letter.
