Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You address the main purpose by describing a company event, praising the food service, and beginning to suggest an improvement to the parking area. The date, time, and event purpose provide useful details. However, the response is incomplete: the parking suggestion ends at “so that customer can,” leaving the improvement unclear, and the positive comments about the hotel are brief and general. The event details and what you particularly liked also need further development. The response contains 120 words, so it is 30 words below the required minimum; this limits how fully you can cover all three points. Add a complete, specific parking request and expand on the event and hotel service.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The letter has a recognisable sequence: an opening, event details, a comment on the food, and a proposed improvement. Paragraph breaks help separate these points. However, the progression is weakened by abrupt or incomplete sentences, especially the final line, which stops before explaining the benefit of parking security. Some links between ideas are also unclear: “I like most of things in the event but one thing…” does not clearly distinguish what you liked about the hotel from the event itself. Use clearer topic sentences and connect each point logically, then finish with a suitable closing. This would make the organisation more consistent and easier to follow.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use enough basic vocabulary to communicate the general situation, including “organized an event,” “employees’ success,” and “ran smoothly.” There are also attempts at positive descriptive language, such as “amazing service.” However, the range is limited and several expressions are unnatural or imprecise, including “our shining company,” “organization of food,” and “It was so well and tasty.” “Wonderfull” is also misspelled. These choices sometimes make the intended meaning less clear. Aim for more precise hotel and event vocabulary, such as “catering,” “attentive staff,” and “parking security,” and check spelling and natural word combinations before submitting.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The response mainly uses simple sentence patterns, with a few attempts to combine ideas, such as “With the help of your employee, it went amazingly well.” However, frequent grammatical errors affect clarity. The opening, “I am writing this letter about your services last night were great,” joins clauses incorrectly; it could be separated or rewritten with “because.” Articles and sentence structure are also problematic in “Event was about our employees’ success” and “I like most of things.” The final sentence is incomplete, and punctuation around the opening thanks is missing. Practise complete sentence construction, article use, and joining clauses accurately, while varying sentence forms.
