Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You cover the three requested points: you identify the company’s annual dinner, praise the hotel’s atmosphere, staff and food, and suggest moving to a city location because the current hotel is far away. These details make the letter relevant and show a clear purpose. However, several points are difficult to understand or remain under-developed, such as “All staffed if the company sit together and discuss obout the part,” and the improvement request is not explained in enough detail. The greeting also differs from the one specified, and the letter lacks a suitable closing. To strengthen the response, state the event details clearly, explain the practical problem caused by the location, and make a polite, specific suggestion to the manager.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

The response follows a broadly sensible order: it introduces the event, describes positive features, and then raises a concern about the location. This gives the reader a basic sense of the letter’s purpose. However, the ideas are crowded into one long paragraph, with few clear transitions or sentence boundaries. The shift from praising the staff to discussing the meal and then the company’s comments is difficult to follow, and phrases such as “after completed the the we back to home” interrupt the progression. Organise the letter into short paragraphs for the event, positive feedback, and suggested improvement. Use clear linking phrases such as “In addition” and “However,” and make sure each sentence develops one main idea.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You use some vocabulary relevant to the situation, including “annual dinner,” “restaurant staff,” “menu,” and “location,” so the reader can identify the main topics. However, the range is limited and several word choices, collocations, and spelling errors make parts of the message hard to understand. Examples include “Mange a party,” “Employer,” “convinced,” and “teasty”; “the party is organised in your hotel is about” is also an awkward way to describe the event. Aim for accurate, natural phrases such as “organised our company’s annual dinner at your hotel,” “the staff were attentive,” and “the hotel is inconveniently far from the city centre.” Check spelling and choose words that express the intended meaning precisely.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

The response attempts to communicate several connected ideas, but it relies mainly on simple sentence patterns and has frequent errors in sentence formation, verb forms, agreement, articles, and punctuation. For example, “The party is organised in your hotel is about the Aannual dinner” combines clauses without a workable structure, while “your restaurant staff is very well” has an incorrect grammatical pattern and agreement. The final request, “please you shifted the hotel in city,” also lacks a correctly formed polite construction. These errors sometimes make the intended meaning difficult to follow. Practise building complete sentences with one clear subject and verb, and use past tense consistently for the event, for example: “We held our annual dinner at your hotel.”
