Dear Sir / Madam,
I am writing to express gratitude about my last stay at your hotel. My company celebrated 25th aniversary at your place on july 21th.
we organised party in your Canyon Meadows five star hotel in calgary. the Auditorium room has excellent decoration with modern sound system and the 80mm screen was next level.
What is like most is your wauts staff, when we arrived over there, they welocmed with beatiful smile and they arranged all the facilities to our staff. Furthermore, housekeeping staff maintained tables and chairs are spotless and washrooms was clean.
On top of that,One thing i dispointed was internet speed was not good enough for working people. My presemtation takes ages to open beacuse slow wifi speed. in addition to that, most of my colleagues faced same issue with internet.
I am look forward to hearing from you soon.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
The letter addresses all three requested points: it identifies the company celebration and date, praises the room, sound system and staff, and raises slow internet as an area for improvement. The purpose is clear and the details are relevant. The positive comments are more fully supported, for example by describing the auditorium and housekeeping, while the event itself is only briefly explained and the internet complaint could be developed with a clearer account of its effect on the event. The opening says “my last stay” rather than directly framing the letter around the company event, which slightly weakens the focus. To strengthen the response, give a little more context about the celebration and make the improvement request more specific, such as asking the hotel to upgrade or check its Wi-Fi.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The information is arranged in a generally sensible order: the purpose and event come first, followed by positive features, a problem, and a closing. Paragraphing helps distinguish these points, and connectors such as “Furthermore” and “On top of that” show how ideas relate. However, some transitions feel mechanical or are not punctuated clearly, as in “On top of that,One thing i dispointed,” and the shift from the event description to the staff praise could be smoother. The reference to “my last stay” also makes the opening less clearly connected to the company event. Use a more direct sequence of paragraphs and link each point explicitly to the occasion; this would make the progression more fluent and cohesion less noticeable.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
The response has enough vocabulary to communicate the main points and includes some relevant descriptive choices, such as “modern sound system,” “spotless,” and “slow wifi speed.” There is also an attempt to use more specific language about the venue and facilities. However, spelling errors and imprecise or unnatural word choices are noticeable, including “aniversary,” “wauts staff,” “dispointed,” and “next level.” Some phrases are also awkward for a formal letter, such as “express gratitude about” and “my presentation takes ages to open.” These choices sometimes make the reader pause, even though the intended meaning is usually recoverable. Build accuracy by checking spelling and choosing conventional collocations, while keeping the useful specific details about the hotel.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The letter uses a mixture of simple statements and some longer structures, including a time clause beginning “when we arrived” and a sentence introduced by “Furthermore.” The overall message remains understandable, but grammatical control is inconsistent. Examples include missing articles in “we organised party,” incorrect agreement in “washrooms was clean,” and the incomplete construction “they welcomed with” instead of a complete clause such as “they welcomed us.” There are also problems with verb forms and sentence boundaries, as in “housekeeping staff maintained tables and chairs are spotless.” Capitalisation and punctuation are inconsistent, which further affects readability. Practise building accurate subject–verb–object sentences first, then combine them with subordinate clauses, checking articles, agreement and punctuation during revision.
