Student answer (Band 5.5)

some people belive that authorities should levied tax on the food that are not good for heath however few thinks make fruits and vegetables cheaper. I will discuss both views in the upcoming paragraphs.

First of all, Balanced diet is considered very important in everyday so its responsibility of higher authorties to make the green vegetables and fruites available at the low price. Secondly, everyone can afford if the price is low so inclined towards unheathy food can be declined. Moreover, Government should lessen the the tax on fruit and vegetable so that everyone can buy and can takecare of themselves.

on the other hand, if we talk about unbalanced diet it includes all convencies fast food though these are tasty but it impact on health . now a days most of the people have their hactic scheduled so when they get at home they try junk food first of all it is cheap, and ready to eat. Goverment should impose tax on unhealthy food so that people can take care of themselves to keep their familly healthy lifestyle along with the work and money.

Eventualy, government should consider all these factor to improve the life of people if the fruits and vegetables will be sell at the good price that everyone can afford it would helpful for every level of people they can buy easily and that should put a tax on unhealthy food items such as burgers, pizza, drink etc. so that people buy these expensive items less.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You address both views and give a clear preference for making fruit and vegetables affordable while also taxing unhealthy food. The first body paragraph explains that lower prices could help more people buy healthier produce, and the next gives relevant reasons for taxing fast food, including convenience and its appeal to people with busy schedules. These points keep the response focused on the question. However, some ideas are asserted rather than fully explained: for example, the link between cheaper produce and reducing unhealthy eating could be developed with a specific example or explanation of how people’s choices might change. Your conclusion repeats both proposals but could state your overall position more directly and explain why you consider this combined approach most effective.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a concluding paragraph. Sequencing phrases such as “First of all,” “on the other hand,” and “Eventually” help signal the stages of the discussion. The main progression is understandable, but some connections are mechanical or unclear. For instance, “Secondly, everyone can afford if the price is low so inclined towards unhealthy food can be declined” compresses several ideas without clearly showing their relationship. The final paragraph also repeats points from earlier sections rather than bringing them together smoothly. To strengthen cohesion, use clearer links between cause and effect, and make each paragraph develop one central point before moving to the next.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “balanced diet,” “impose tax,” “unhealthy food,” and “available at the low price,” so the reader can follow the main discussion. There are also attempts to use more specific terms, such as “fast food” and “ready to eat.” However, the range is limited and several spelling, word-form, and collocation errors are noticeable, including “belive,” “heath,” “convencies,” and “hactic scheduled.” Some phrases are also imprecise, such as “good price” and “take care of themselves to keep their family healthy lifestyle.” Build accuracy by checking spelling and learning natural word partnerships, for example “affordable prices,” “busy schedules,” and “maintain a healthy lifestyle.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more extended sentence forms, including a conditional idea in “if the price is low” and a contrast introduced by “though.” The main message is generally understandable, but some grammatical errors affect clarity. For example, “authorities should levied tax” has an incorrect verb form, while “the food that are not good” has a subject–verb agreement problem. In “if the fruits and vegetables will be sell,” the conditional structure and passive verb form are not controlled. Articles, plurals, and sentence boundaries also need attention, as in “Government should lessen the the tax” and the long final sentence. Practise accurate conditionals, agreement, and passive forms, then proofread punctuation and sentence structure.
