Student answer (Band 6.0)
Some individuals argue that it is compulsory to travel to other countries to find out information about them, while others argue that the given information on the internet and on a television is enough. Although, they can find out about places while living in their own country. I think that people should visit to other countries to attain information about them.
On the one hand, travel to other countries can give a practical experience, and people can enjoy the journey in order to get information and many other real life experience. For example, if a person travel to any other country for the first time, he can get a flight experience and after reaching the country he will enjoy a new environment and talk to other people and learn new languages. Moreover, poeple who visit other countries will observe the new culture and learn their language, which is not taken by staying at home.
On the paradoxical side, people who believe that getting information through internet and television is enough despite from visiting are also have some points, because some individuals have financial issues and they can not afford to travel to other countries to attain information. They can use internet on their mobile phones and watching the nature and culture of other countries and get the information. In addition, internet and television can give enough information because technology has advanded these days and provide everything to indivduals of all over the world.
In conclusion, I believe that it is beneficial for those who can afford to travel to other countries, and they should go to enjoy and experience new adventures, while the rest can easily information through internet and television. Both aspects are valid, but travelling have some advantages.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both views and state your own position: you favour visiting other countries, while recognising that online and television sources help people who cannot afford to travel. The practical experience, cultural observation and financial-access points are relevant, and the example of a first-time visitor gives the discussion some support. However, the two sides are not developed equally: the travel paragraph explains several benefits, whereas the case for media access is mostly asserted, with little detail about what it can teach or where its limits lie. Your conclusion also introduces affordability as a qualification, but the position could be clearer about whether travel is necessary or simply preferable. Develop each main reason with a more specific explanation or example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a conclusion. Signposts such as “On the one hand,” “In addition,” and “In conclusion” help readers follow the discussion. The progression within the travel paragraph is also understandable, moving from practical experience to culture and language. However, some linking is mechanical or inaccurate: “On the paradoxical side” does not naturally introduce the opposing view, and “Although” begins a fragment-like sentence after the opening position. The final sentence repeats the contrast without fully resolving it, and “the rest can easily information” leaves the relationship unclear. Use more natural transitions and make each paragraph’s central point and its connection to the conclusion explicit.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant topic vocabulary, including “practical experience,” “financial issues,” “culture,” and “technology,” and the meaning is generally clear. There are also attempts at more specific expressions, such as “new environment” and “real life experience.” However, word choice and collocation are often imprecise or repetitive: “attain information” is repeated where “gain knowledge” or “learn about” would sound more natural, and “information on the internet and on a television” is awkward. Spelling errors such as “poeple,” “advanded,” and “indivduals” also reduce accuracy. Build a broader set of natural phrases for discussing access to information, cultural immersion and travel costs, and check spelling carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and complex forms, including a conditional example (“if a person travel…”) and a relative clause (“people…which is not taken by staying at home”). This shows some range, and the main ideas remain understandable. However, some errors in verb forms, agreement, articles and sentence construction recur. For example, “if a person travel” needs subject–verb agreement, “people…are also have” combines incompatible verb forms, and “travelling have” needs a singular verb. The opening “Although, they can find out…” is not a complete, well-connected sentence, while “the rest can easily information” lacks a verb. Practise checking each clause for a clear subject and finite verb, and review articles and agreement in longer sentences.
