Student answer (Band 6.0)
Some people thinks that old buildings should be replaced with new construction while other opine to restore the old buildins even at the heavy cost. This eassy shall discuss both the sides and my individual thought about it.
spending money on older buildings to store the way it is can be beneficial in the future because after a decade or two restored building will have historic value and also a place where younger generation will visit and have glamplies of the past. To examplify, if a art gallary is preserved today, then in the future it can be a museam which will eventually produce money.
On the other hand, if the space of the older building is utilize to make new sport complex or liberary that can be utilize by the people and that too at very low cost compare to the restoration of older buildings. Additionaly, morden buildings with contamporary technology can be used to shape future of the today's population. New buldings not only requires less maintanance but also attracts more people to atleast visit the place.
At last I lean towards the restoration of the old buildings. To give a reason to that is older buildings always have more emotional and historical values than the new ones. So, some of the buildings has to be restored.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both views and provides a clear opinion. However, the essay is significantly under the 250-word minimum requirement, which limits the depth of the arguments. While the ideas are relevant, they are somewhat underdeveloped; for instance, the argument regarding the economic benefits of museums is mentioned but not fully explored. To improve, you should expand on your examples and provide more detailed reasoning for your position to ensure the task is fully addressed. The failure to meet the word count requirement negatively impacts the overall task achievement score.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organised into clear paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the progression of ideas. You use some cohesive devices such as 'On the other hand', 'To examplify', and 'At last'. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly inaccurate, such as 'At last' to introduce a conclusion. The referencing is generally clear, but the flow between sentences could be improved by using a wider variety of linking words and ensuring that the transition between the two viewpoints and your own opinion is more seamless.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks the range and precision required for higher bands. There are several spelling errors, such as 'eassy', 'buildins', 'gallary', 'museam', 'liberary', 'morden', 'contamporary', and 'maintanance'. These errors are frequent and occasionally distract the reader. While you attempt to use topic-specific vocabulary like 'restoration', 'historic value', and 'contemporary technology', the overall lexical control is limited. Focusing on accurate spelling and using more precise collocations will help improve your score in this area.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Examples include subject-verb agreement issues ('Some people thinks', 'some of the buildings has to be'), article misuse, and awkward phrasing ('opine to restore', 'have glamplies of the past'). These errors are noticeable and occur in almost every sentence. While the meaning is generally clear, the high frequency of errors in basic grammar limits the score. You should focus on proofreading for subject-verb agreement and basic sentence construction to improve your accuracy.
