In this modern era, ancient sculptures and buildings plays vital role in describing the history of specific cultures. I agree with former statement. This essay intends to discuss both sides along with my viewpoint.

To commence with, there are a number of reasons behind the constructing new buildings such as supermarkets, shopping centers and apartments : the first and foremost is modernization . To elaborate, In order to enhance the overall development of cities government is giving more priority to new buildings . For Instance, A survey showed that : In many cities housing crisis are burgeoning day by day and to tackle these situations, officials are making decisions on building new apartments on the place of old buildings. Secondly, government are giving new projects to private sectors rather than doing it my themselves in order to reduce the pressure on public funds and forming public- private partnerships.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5

The response addresses both sides of the argument and clearly states a position in the introduction. However, the development of ideas is somewhat uneven. The arguments for replacing old buildings are supported by a general example regarding housing crises, but the discussion on restoration is less detailed. While the prompt asks for a discussion of both views and an opinion, the conclusion is quite brief and does not fully synthesize the points made. To reach a higher band, ensure that each body paragraph provides a more thorough explanation and a specific, concrete example to support the claims made.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.0

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear progression of ideas. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'To commence with', 'On the other hand', and 'In conclusion', which help guide the reader. However, some transitions feel a bit mechanical, and there are instances where the flow between sentences could be smoother. For example, the transition between the discussion of housing crises and public-private partnerships is abrupt. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that referencing (e.g., 'these places') is always clear will help improve the overall coherence.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.5

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, with some attempts at using more sophisticated phrases like 'burgeoning day by day' and 'cost an arm and leg'. However, there are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'plays vital role' (missing an article) and 'came to know' (incorrect tense usage). The range is sufficient to convey meaning, but it lacks the precision and flexibility required for higher bands. Focusing on more precise academic collocations and ensuring correct article usage would significantly enhance the lexical quality of the writing.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. There are several grammatical errors throughout the text, such as subject-verb agreement issues ('buildings plays', 'government are', 'others believes') and missing articles ('the' before 'history', 'the' before 'first'). While these errors do not prevent the reader from understanding the message, they occur frequently enough to impact the overall fluency. To improve, pay closer attention to basic subject-verb agreement and article usage, and try to incorporate a wider variety of error-free complex sentence structures.
