Student answer (Band 6.5)
It is debatable that ancient building ought to convert into new structures while renovation of that building is another view point of people which considered as expensive. I totally agree with building new buildings as it could be life saving and another step in economical advancement in this competitive world where countries are developing on rapid pace.
To commence with, old buildings is a risk to life by every passing second and in case of natural disaster. over the years, the material used in manufacturing these structures gets rusty, eaten up by wood-damaging pest, shove, etc. Consequently, there are high possibilities of immense destruction to surrounding and people living in it. Similarly, these building crashes rapidly in disasters like earthquakes, tsunami and many more. For example, recent studies shows that monuments which are years old can shove in the ground due to deformities occurred by time.
Another reason stood out is evolution plays substantial role in survival even if it is in terms of growth of country. Transformation is essential with growing technology to meet incoming requirements of folks. this is because land would be considered as primary component in developing world to provide shelters in future. for example, in New Delhi , people are living in slums due to shortage of land when there are four ancient tourists attractions.
to conclude, although it is vital to preserve the past but I believe innovation plays significant role in modern world. other than this, safety concerns stands up first in case of natural disasters or other man made reasons.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses both views and provides a clear personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you mention safety and economic advancement, the arguments could be more thoroughly supported with more precise examples. The example regarding New Delhi is relevant but lacks sufficient detail to fully illustrate the trade-off between preservation and modernization. The introduction is slightly confusing due to grammatical issues, which makes the initial position statement less impactful. To improve, ensure that each paragraph focuses on a single, well-developed argument that directly supports your thesis.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear focus. You use some cohesive devices such as 'To commence with', 'Similarly', and 'to conclude' to signal transitions. However, the flow between sentences is sometimes mechanical, and the referencing is occasionally unclear, such as in the opening sentence where the connection between the two viewpoints is muddled. The use of cohesive devices is adequate but lacks the flexibility required for a higher band. Improving the logical links between sentences within paragraphs would enhance the overall readability and coherence of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'economical advancement', 'substantial role', and 'innovation'. However, there are several instances of awkward word choice and collocation errors, such as 'shove in the ground' (likely meaning 'sink' or 'collapse') and 'monuments which are years old can shove'. These errors occasionally impede the reader's understanding. To reach a higher band, focus on using more precise vocabulary and ensuring that words are used in their correct context. Expanding your range of collocations will also help you express your ideas more naturally.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Issues include subject-verb agreement ('old buildings is a risk'), incorrect verb forms ('ought to convert into' instead of 'ought to be converted'), and punctuation errors, such as missing capital letters at the start of sentences. These errors are noticeable and sometimes make the meaning difficult to follow. While the attempt at complex structures is evident, the lack of accuracy prevents a higher score. Focusing on basic sentence construction and proofreading for subject-verb agreement will significantly improve your accuracy.
