Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response is significantly under-length at only 136 words, failing to meet the 250-word minimum requirement. Consequently, the task is only partially addressed. While you introduce both sides of the argument, the second viewpoint is left incomplete, and your own opinion is not clearly stated or developed. To improve, you must ensure you provide a full discussion for both perspectives and a clear, supported conclusion. The lack of development and the failure to complete the essay structure significantly limit the score for this criterion.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay uses basic paragraphing and some cohesive devices like 'First of all' and 'Secondaly' to signal structure. However, the progression of ideas is interrupted by the incomplete nature of the text. Referencing is sometimes unclear, and the flow is hindered by the abrupt ending. To improve, ensure that each paragraph has a clear topic sentence and that ideas are linked logically with a variety of cohesive devices, such as 'furthermore', 'consequently', or 'in contrast', rather than relying on simple sequencing words.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is limited and repetitive, with frequent spelling errors such as 'structrue', 'histrocal', 'restoraton', 'protact', and 'bulding'. These errors occasionally make the text difficult to read. You rely on basic vocabulary to express your ideas. To achieve a higher band, you should aim to use a wider range of topic-specific vocabulary related to architecture and urban planning, and pay closer attention to spelling and word formation. Using synonyms and more precise terminology would help convey your points more effectively.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, including subject-verb agreement issues ('There are aso many debates are going') and article usage ('the the religion'). Sentence structures are mostly simple, and there is a lack of complex sentence forms. Punctuation is also inconsistent. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, specifically subject-verb agreement and the correct use of articles. Once these are more consistent, try to incorporate complex structures like relative clauses or conditional sentences to demonstrate a wider grammatical range.
