Student answer (Band 5.5)
There is a discripancy prevaliance regarding the preservation of old harritage. I am of the opinion that government should supports town halls and gallaries for the sake of future generation and source of income from the tourist, while other believe that new buildings should be constructed that will be contributing in generating employment and better use of land for present people.
The first and foremost reason some people argue about the restoration of building because they believe it is the precious monuments of the history. Every building and art galaleries has there own story that should be save to show the glory and golden eara of their forefathers. For example Jahngir tomb and Qila daraward in Bahwalpur. Forthermore they defend their argument like it provide the attention in the world. For example in Pakistan Fort of Lahore , Badshahi mosque , old mousem and old lahore baazars are the main interesting points of 18 centuries which attract the internationals visitors. Thousands of foregin tourist visit these places and become a source of income for government.
On the other Hand, replace these building with the modren buildings would provide the better landuse like skyscaper building provide places for new offices and resedential space for the present generation. It is not only provide land but aslo create employment oppertunitis in the countries. Moreover, with the new construction other resources are also brought utilize like labor and capital which stimulate the economy that leads to increase the GDP of the country. For example in Pakistan government has established new Anarkali bazar with the old one which provide more business oppertunities.it is a beautiful fusion of modren and old markets structure.
In conclusion, replacment of old building is good but I firmely believe that old cultural buildings should be preserve for the new generations and for the sake of tourisim to develop the cultural exchange purpose.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides a clear personal opinion. The ideas are relevant, such as the cultural value of heritage versus the economic benefits of modernization. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat limited. While examples like the Jahangir tomb are provided, the explanation of how these balance against modern economic needs could be more deeply explored. The introduction is slightly confusing due to spelling errors, but the overall position remains clear throughout the essay.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, with a clear introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'Furthermore', 'On the other Hand', and 'Moreover', though some are used mechanically or with minor errors (e.g., 'On the other Hand' should not be capitalized mid-sentence). The progression of ideas is generally logical, but the referencing is occasionally unclear due to grammatical slips, which makes the flow feel slightly disjointed in places.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is adequate for the task but shows significant spelling issues that occasionally impede readability, such as 'discripancy', 'prevaliance', 'harritage', 'galaleries', and 'modren'. While the student attempts to use topic-specific vocabulary like 'monuments', 'GDP', and 'cultural exchange', the frequent spelling errors and occasional word-choice inaccuracies (e.g., 'brought utilize') limit the score. A wider range of precise vocabulary is needed to move into the higher bands.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors, including subject-verb agreement issues ('government should supports'), article misuse, and awkward phrasing ('it provide the attention in the world'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, with missing spaces after periods and incorrect capitalization. While the meaning is generally clear, these persistent errors demonstrate a lack of control over complex structures, keeping the score in the mid-range.
