Student answer (Band 5.5)

Undoubtedly, in this concurrent epoch few masses reck on that historic building were reconstructed while others quibble the statement and uphold that they should be replaced by new ones. In my perception both statements need further scrutinization before forming a view point.

There are myraid of reasons to support the first thought, but the foremost one is People have attracted of them . Moreover , it is our history , we can passes it on to next generation. Although, this will cost so much money, we cannot ignore the significance of both of them. For instance, Me and my mother went to art gallery last year during the summer were my sister's childerns were with us . my mother show them all the arts and some of art are from her 70's. she feel emotional while showing to us and next generation because she remember the this time when her mother took them to their.

On the opposite side, In this modern era, skyscraper are rapidly liked by society and old building and museums were not prefered by them. Furthermore, its way expensive to rebuilt the historic monuments because of the structure and materials used in them. Ancient way of techniques are required to construct them again to maintain the aesthetic. For example, Due to modernization, papulation is increasing in remote cities were space of living is not enough. They needed apartments and public transport . Instead of rebuilding old town houses government should focus on constructing small apartments.

To conclusion, Both ideas carry equal strength and importance neither can be refuse nor outlight.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses both views and provides a personal opinion, though the position is somewhat ambiguous in the conclusion. The ideas are relevant but often under-developed. For example, the argument regarding the cost of restoration is mentioned but lacks depth, and the personal anecdote about the art gallery is not clearly linked to the broader debate about preservation versus modernization. The conclusion is very brief and fails to clearly state a final stance, which limits the development of the response. To improve, ensure each paragraph has a clear topic sentence and that examples are directly tied to the main argument.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the flow between and within them is often disjointed. While some cohesive devices are used, such as 'Moreover' and 'Furthermore', they are sometimes used incorrectly or in a way that feels mechanical. Referencing is occasionally unclear, such as in the sentence 'we cannot ignore the significance of both of them', where the antecedent is ambiguous. The progression of ideas is present but lacks a smooth logical transition, making the argument feel somewhat fragmented. Improved use of linking words and clearer paragraph structure would enhance the overall coherence.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is limited and contains several errors in word choice and collocation. Phrases like 'few masses reck on' and 'quibble the statement' are unnatural and do not convey the intended meaning accurately. There are also spelling errors such as 'myraid', 'papulation', and 'outlight'. While the student attempts to use some academic vocabulary, the lack of precision and frequent errors in word formation hinder the clarity of the message. To reach a higher band, focus on using common words accurately and expanding your range of topic-specific vocabulary through reading.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay relies on a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Issues include subject-verb agreement ('some of art are', 'skyscraper are'), incorrect verb tenses ('we can passes it on'), and punctuation errors. These errors are persistent and occasionally make the text difficult to follow. While the meaning is generally understandable, the high frequency of errors in basic grammar prevents the essay from achieving a higher score. Focusing on sentence construction and proofreading for basic errors would be highly beneficial.
