Student answer (Band 5.0)
It is often argued that digital tools will take place of mentors in academic insitutions and colleges. Although artificial intelligence is helpful in the academic learning, it is hard to replace the teachers because they provide the human interaction. I partly agree with the given statement.
On the one hand, there are some reasons that support artificial intelligence has more value in schools and universities. AI tools provide rapid response to questions which is asked by students and these platforms are available for all the time. Along with this, quick feedback is provided by AI tools, so that is why students may prefer to ask anything without any hesitation. Therefore, advancement in technology assist to give frequent response, marking scores, and feedback.
On the other hand, this is believe that teachers can not be fully replaced by advace digital tools. Mentors not only explain the complex topics, but also provide human interaction and guidance in the practical way. A teacher can understand students' s emotions, their weaknesses, due to this, it is not difficult for them to clear students' s doubts which AI tools can not do the same. Sometimes, AI tools give different types of information to a single question which may confuse academic learners to choose the correct option, teachers can assist them Therefore, students have emotional connection with their teachers and it will help them to get the proper guidance from their mentors.
In conclusion, although digital platforms help to speed up the administrative work, marking scores, it may not take the place of teachers in terms of human emtions, understanding and interaction. Consequently, traditional method of learning is better as compared to advance technolgy.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 1.0
The response is completely off-topic. The prompt asks for a discussion on the restoration of old buildings versus building new ones. However, the essay discusses the role of artificial intelligence versus teachers in academic institutions. Because the response fails to address the task prompt entirely, it cannot be assessed for task achievement in relation to the specific question asked. While the essay structure follows a standard argumentative format, the content is irrelevant to the instructions provided. To improve, you must carefully read the prompt and ensure your arguments directly relate to the specific topic of architectural preservation versus modernization.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is logically organized into clear paragraphs with an introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion. There is a clear progression of ideas within the paragraphs, and cohesive devices such as 'On the one hand', 'On the other hand', and 'In conclusion' are used effectively to signal the structure. However, some referencing is slightly mechanical, and the flow between sentences could be more natural. Despite the content being off-topic, the structural framework of the essay is sound and demonstrates a good grasp of how to organize an argumentative response.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'academic institutions', 'artificial intelligence', 'advancement', and 'administrative work'. There are some minor errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'take place of' (instead of 'take the place of') and 'advace digital tools' (spelling error). You attempt to use some less common vocabulary, but the precision is occasionally lacking. To reach a higher band, focus on using more sophisticated collocations and ensuring accurate spelling throughout your writing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. There are several grammatical errors, including subject-verb agreement issues ('this is believe that', 'technology assist to give') and punctuation errors, particularly with the possessive apostrophe ('students' s'). While these errors are noticeable, they do not generally impede communication. You have attempted complex structures, but the control is inconsistent. To improve, focus on proofreading for basic grammatical accuracy, specifically regarding verb forms and possessive markers, and try to vary your sentence structure with more complex clauses.
