Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0
The response is significantly under the required word count of 250 words, reaching only 80 words. As a result, the task is only partially addressed. The introduction sets up the topic, but the essay stops abruptly after only a few words of the first body paragraph. Because the response is incomplete, it is impossible to evaluate the development of ideas, the discussion of both views, or the presentation of a clear position. To improve, you must ensure you write at least 250 words and fully develop each point with supporting arguments and examples.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay is too short to demonstrate a coherent structure or the effective use of cohesive devices. While there is an attempt to use transition signals like 'On the one hand', the text ends before any logical progression can be established. Paragraphing is present, but the lack of content makes it difficult to assess the overall flow of ideas. To achieve a higher score, you need to write full paragraphs that connect logically to one another using a variety of linking words and clear referencing.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is generally appropriate for the topic, such as 'contemporary world', 'renovate', and 'heritage structures'. However, there are some inaccuracies, such as 'buildings are playing very crucial role to make a cities look beautiful' (should be 'play a crucial role in making cities look beautiful'). The range is limited due to the brevity of the text. To improve, focus on using more precise collocations and ensure your word choices are grammatically accurate within the context of your sentences.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The text contains several grammatical errors, such as 'a on going debate' (should be 'an ongoing debate'), 'two group of people' (should be 'two groups of people'), and 'an advanced buildings' (should be 'advanced buildings'). The sentence structures are relatively simple. Because the response is so short, it is difficult to judge your ability to use a wide range of complex structures accurately. Focus on subject-verb agreement, correct use of articles, and pluralization to improve your accuracy.
